Really think it might prove better for Gavin to have lost this. He's been badly in need of the wake-up call. Going the wrong way about his career in just so many ways. Either he'll sink into oblivion now or he'll get real and potentially do something decent with his career. Can start with getting into proper shape and going down to 140.
