Hopkins fought just about every challenge along the way. Canelo's career achievements are merely a footnote, when put next to those of Hopkins. The highlight of Canelo's career is taking a beating in his prime, to a fighter that is a dozen years older than him. Hopkins never did that. In fact, Hopkins continues to beat fighters nearly 2 decades younger than he is, despite being nearly a dozen years removed from his prime. (I highly doubt Canelo will be fighting in a dozen years.)
