I didn't know that Jr. Middleweights were allowed to weigh in at 155. Hopkins weighed in at 156 after a 157lbs Middleweight Catchweight request by DLH. ******.

He's only fighting ko valev because he's 49 and losing means nothing. Great built in reason for getting ktfo.

If that's the case he could have gone for Stevenson for more money, idiot.

****en hell dude, i know they were both MIddleweights but De La Hoya only weighed 1 pound over the Jr Mw limit, hardly blown up in my view.

 Hopkins fought a Jr Mw and it showed in the ring.

Absolutely in awe of this man and what he's achieved and what he's still willing to risk.

As for the guys who have beaten him, he could face Dawson, Taylor and Calzaghe, beat them next year and receive little credit because of how much they have all slipped, all this despite each man being someone who could realistically of retired him.

I think providing he avoids the flush shots he can beat both kovalev and Stevenson.

I've said for a while Hopkins and Kovalev will fight and show that when 2 fighters really want to fight boxing politics don't stand in the way. I just expected Hopkins to beat Stevenson first.

He is the best ever if we are measuring greatness in how old you were when you had success. By this logic, Ali and Tyson sucks, those guys didn't age too well in the ring. Foreman GOAT HW.

He aged well because he looks after his body very well and trains year round and his style is suited to that. In terms of pure resume and who he has beaten though, the titles he's accumulated and achievements which should be what greatness is based on, he's great all things considered but not the greatest.

Best fighters he fought were RJJ, Calzaghe, Taylor Dawson, lost all of them. Best wins were ODLH and Tito, both of whom were natural WW's. His wins over Pavlik, Pascal, Wright and Tarver were good but none of them were ever elite at that weight. Still solid wins regardless.

these guys are really not best he fought, thoughn they were pretty good.

whilsty dawson thumped out a 47 year struggling old hop incessantly, joe calzaghe struggled badly and only took it on extra gass over the old man - do you really doubt a fully fit Hopkins wouldn't have continued to land flush on joe for the whole fight instead of just the first half?

154.1 to 160 is THE MIDDLEWEIGHT limit, try to get that through your empty head. If there was a problem or any direct violation with their weights or any penalties involved the commission would get involved and strip Hopkins off his Middleweight titles. Can you comprehend?, fool.

Don't overlook some of his middleweight defenses against legit top 10 guys either. Young Robert Allen, and Antwon Echols, as well as the version of Mercado he faced, were all better than William Joppy.

You would never see Manny Pacquiao giving Keith Thurman a shot. You didn't see Mayweather giving Paul Williams a shot. Hopkins at his age, has an excuse not to fight these younger athletic strong guys, yet he does. He lined up twice against Chad Dawson. He lined up twice against Jean Pascal. You don't usually see that in boxing.

Comparing a bunch of C level fighters to Keith Thurman. What he did at MW is no different to what Pac did at 122 when stayed there and fought all comers. Ledwaba, Sanchez all better than any wins on Bhops MW resume. Guys like Echols can be compared to your Elicer Julio, Nedal Hussein, Seung Chae...undefeated prospects.

Oh yea, I forgot the likes of Robert Allen is better than Cotto, Margarito, Clottey, MAB, Morales, JMM, Bradley, Hatton. lol.
