    Novikov is held off by a couple of shot-put rights on the body from Vargas. Left uppercut by Novikov, and some additional lefts hurdling Vargas' guard. More rights on the body by Vargas. They step together and both slap their hands down from above, tying up. Stiff right jab by Novikov, 1-2 by Vargas. They are landing blow for blow on the inside. Vargas circles to his right, out of the pocket, and ducks a Novikov left. Jab stuck in by Vargas, quickly stepping away from Novikov's right jab to make him miss. 1-1-2 by Novikov, lunging and missing. Vargas steps in and eats a left while landing a flurry on the chest. 1-2 by Vargas, blocked as Novikov hops back and throws his gloves up. They clinch and spin.
