i kinda thought that was an early stoppage, i think the ref was nervous and kinda ****ed up...was there a 3 knockdown rule?

im not saying kovalev wouldnt have finished him off that round, im just saying i thouhgt it was an early stoppage...she should have given caparello a chance, i mean it was a title shot ...areolla got much more chances vs stiverne in their 2nd fight

If she stopped it after the first KD, it would have been early. He had 2 chances to come back, he didn't. It was a good stoppage.

He wasn't that hurt on the 2nd KD when he took a knee, but he was clearly hurt from the 3rd KD. There was also a more than a whole minute left in the round.

He was clearly going to get knocked out, and got knocked down multiple times, Kovalev has already killed someone before, no need to let it go any further, good stoppage.

yes i agree we all seen where it was headed one way or another, but i gues im on my own in thinking it was an early stoppage...i just think that its possible given the chance he could have made it to the next round, even if its only like a 15% chance, i would have like to see this fight go until either KO or a real tko...even after the 3rd KD he could have gone on, he was more off balance than anything and got held up by the ropes, u understand the KD call but the immediate stoppage with no 8 count?

seems silly to me, atleast give him an 8 count and see if he is ok...instead she just waves the fight off

Roman Simakov. Got knocked out in the 7th and had to be carried out on a stretcher. The fights on YouTube, he took a beating, very tragic.

As for this fight, it was a good stoppage. Three times in a round means you can't keep the guy off you and youre being hurt by everything.

I see where you're coming from but I don't agree. I think it was pretty much over after the body shot. That broke him. He was going to be a sitting duck after that, imo. I agree with the ref, he was not capable of defending himself when she made the call the way I saw it. I'll watch it again tomorrow. I might see it different.

Makes you want to stop watching boxing for a little while, I'm still scared a little everytime Kovalev steps in the ring, same goes for GGG.

Caparello was finished after the first body shot, after that he just got his arse kicked. Caparello should not have stepped on Kovalev's foot, Kovalev was not knocked down as the video shows........................
