Ok but Sergey KRUSHER Kovalev is a better fighter so i dont care about Kelly redneck alcoholic pavlik being more proven.

the guy beat an overated taylor and not much else after that. gary lockett, rubio. punch bags easily outbrawled.

the only way kovalev wins is via ko. no way he wins a decision in america.

This is a fight i might bet money on if they make it close in odds. Unless its highway robbery on the cards i see kova taking this.

Nothing but respect to the brilliant Spartan Hopkins

Lets see what Pavlik Kovalev have in common:
    Punch with hand
    Caucasian
    Names with V
    That's it

    Your threads suck

This fight could go either way but what does Pavlik have to do with anything?

i truly hope hopkins does school kovalev, i have a bad feeling about this one though. i think kovalev has a rare power that no one hopkins has faced possessed. at 50 i'm a little worried about him, i don't like this fight at all.

Bernard Hopkins lives for fights like these. Trinidad, Pavlik, Tarver... those fights where people see the power and believe that the puncher will be the one to finally leave him looking up at the lights. In all of those fights, he was seen by many as "past his best" on top of that.

Now... here he is, at 49 years old, going in with a guy who is arguably more dangerous than any opponent we've seen in this comparison. A man has died after facing Kovalev in the ring.

This fight is going to be memorable, one way or another. I don't know if Bernard can pull this off at his age, but the warrior in him has already won. KOvalev is legitimately favored imo.

    No it's isn't

He ate straight lefts coming from the Southpaw Caparello

Hopkins is not a southpaw so it's not comparable at all....Do you people even train??? A straight left coming from a Southpaw is nothing like a straight right coming from an Orthodox fighter like Hopkins....Anyone who has sparred against a Southpaw and an Orthodox fighter even just 1 time would know this.....

Hopkins also ate a tons of shots against Karo Murat......

On the other hand you SHOULD be worried about him fighting Stevenson....Since unlike Hopkins he IS a Southpaw and has 1 punch KO power....Hopkins is not a Southpaw and doesn't have much power....

Hopkins had 3 fights at light heavy. he was by far not a natural light heavyweight either.
they also fought at a catchweight of 170
it was basically 2 middleweights fighting at 170

once again people are always in awe of a knock out puncher
as hopkins said before, "take away that one weapon and what do you have? an empty gun"
