Kovalev is too big for Golovkin, they are close friends and any gym fight is bullcrap. Ward said that Kovalev was too big for him and Ward is a natural 175 lb. fighter.

Golovkin did not run Kovalev out of the gym, they respect each other. I like both fighters, but a real war? No. The real war was with Angulo, although Golovkin did spar with Chavez and outclassed him. Kovalev is too big for Golovkin...................As Sanchez said, he does not have wars in his gym..............there is a huge difference between a real fight and sparring...............the sparring was not serious at all...................

More like kova went easy on Golovkin because he didn't want to hurt him. Probably was showing a lot of respect for a smaller fighter he likes.

I heard it was hard sparring, and Kovalev had a hard time at first cause he had some rust. I heard they both took breaks/knees from body shots which should really surprise noone. Its not like I saw it myself though just 3rd-4th hand stuff take it with salt.

He was in no way ran out of the gym though, he just wanted a trainer where he was #1. Golovkin is Abel's Manny, Virgils Ward, etc. Most trainers have one key client who takes precedence and Kovalev wanted a situation where that was him and rightfully so.

    Oh dear :patsch

It has been well documented in the British Media that GEORGE GROVES (yep, the same Groves that Carl Froch KTFO twice in a row) dropped Golovkin heavily in sparring last month.

If The Saint can do that to little GGG, do you really think a much bigger man like Kovalev with his power - and Golovokin as easy to hit as he is - would have been 'chased out of the gym'?!?

Another El Chickeno GGG hype thread. Nice job keeping GGG's name in the public eye. Keep up the good work.

If by well documented you mean floated by one guy who has no credibility on a Sky interview then repeated by rumor mongers, then sure. More credible sources have Groves getting busted ribs.

I don't believe half these sparring stories that come out about fighters....but even if somehow this was true, it wouldn't mean much.

Kov is bigger and in a real fight I have absolutely no doubt he would beat GGG

Why don't you believe Kovalev who said himself he took a knee in a sparring with GGG? It's not like it fits any of his agenda. I mean who would say something like that if it wasn't true?
