It was an excellent stoppage. No need for the kid to take more punishment. It was over.

The stoppage was a bit premature. I would have liked to see Caparello get his head beat in for a couple more rounds.

It was only ever going to go one way no need for Caparello to take more punishment than needed and with Kovalev's record that's the best result for all concerned, I'm always a little worried for anyone facing Kovalev, we haven't seen power like his at light heavy in a long time.

I like to see competitive fights. If he was actually fighting back then OK let him continue but it was a mismatch really after that first KD.

I don't think it was premature. If he got up, he would be knocked down again within 20 seconds. It was a complete mismatch anyway.
Wonder how Hopkins deals with such power.

There have been other hard hitting LHW's since then, but I haven't seen someone at the division with power that frightening since Foster. As such, I'm never going to complain if a ref steps in a shot or two early.

In this case BC was done anyways. 3 knockdowns in a round and he was camping in the corner like he lived there. Nothing good could've come from that fight continuing.
