Guerrero was a blown up lightweight who beat who Aydin and Berto!:lol:

Ortiz? The one that DREW with Peterson and beat Berto (how come beating Berto warrants a shot?)?

Both are garbage. Besides, Hopkins win over Tito is far and beyond anything that May has done.

I can't believe what I'm reading. Hopkins beat the crap out of Trinidad, Floyd has no win over a fighter of that caliber, not even close. An old de la Hoya and canelo don't compare. Gatti, Mitchell, baldimir, Ortiz, Guerrero, are not top guys and they never beat top guys. Glen Johnson is the equivalent of those guys and that's an average win for Bernard, yet Floyd gets praise for beating those guys? Come on.

    both garbage fights
ghost was a career featherweight with all of 2 fights a welter
ortiz was a career junior welter with all of 1 fight at 147
dont think ortiz has won another fight, neither has ghost technically
crap fights. no matter how you slice it

Has to do with a 6'1 40 year old starving his body to make 160. He could no longer fight a full 12 rounds at 160 his last few fights there. Taylor didn't hit him with much either fight, and in both fights, Hopkins landed all of the meaningful blows. You just can't win a fight clearly only having gas to fight 5 or 6 rounds. He should have probably moved up in weight after he beat Oscar.

these guys are NOT weaklings, they are merely fringe contenders. Even Ortiz can steamroller plenty of guys.

they will never be greats but they have some characteristics that are near elite.

Personally I don't see anything wrong with having a few fringers on your resume when champ, it seems the norm to me. God knows how many some pretenders have a CV full of them.

Whats also true is that Moneyman regularly doesn't take the biggest fights when presented with that opportunity, that's his real problem when it comes to CV depth.

Bernard deserves all the respect in the world due to longevity, but he has never beaten a great fighter who was prime and the same size as Bernard.

I have to strongly disagree with this
Oscar really had no business at mw. In fact he really should of lost both of his fights at that weight Add the fact that Mayweather was the naturally smaller man and Mayweather's win has the clear edge
Tito was competitive at mw, but far from amazing. He fought two top mw's and he lost both of those fights by near shut out. The Tito win is about the same as Mayweather's win over Jmm. Jmm went on to beat Pac at that weight, while Tito's best win at mw is Joppy.

Wtf are you talking about? His last fight ever against winky wright(the Roy comeback fight doesn't count)? Thats what youre counting against him? He had three fights at middleweight. He destroyed one guy who was good. Lost to a legend and again to a damn good fighter. Your criteria is warped.

Better resume means wins right, then
Manny Pac early in his carrer was beating top p4p fighters morales, barrera, marquez, he was considered the smaller man
Floyd just because he is undefeated and consistenly beat good fighter not greats.
Hopkins had wins against great fighters p4p but had few losess.
    Cotto or Marquez

Seriously GTFO of here with that mayweather CRAP. He's fought nobody but bums and washed up greats.
