Tito was a pretty big puncher.... So was Shum

The question when fighting BHOP is not whether the person he is fighting is a big puncher but can that individual land said big punch

He fought a couple of big punchers, but in lower weightclasses or coming up to the weight.
So it's pretty probable that Kovalev will be his hardest punching opponent

Hopkins has fought a lot of big punchers over the years and based upon what we have seen so far I'd say Kovalev is the biggest puncher Hopkins will have faced. Kovalev doesn't even seem to need to land cleanly to hurt an opponent even glancing shots seem to have his opponents in trouble.

It will take more than power to beat BHop though. Having the power is one thing being able to apply it is another.

Who has Kovalev proved his power against compared to Pavlik, Tarver, Taylor, Trinidad...etc?

Nope RJJ and Tito are more proven punchers.

Trinidad was a natural light middleweight, wasn't even a real middleweight. How is he even comparable to perhaps the hardest current light heavyweight puncher Kovalev?

    Too much "p4p" nonsense.

Quite possibly, the most important factor though is that Hopkins isn't there to be hit like all of Kovalev's previous opponents.

Yeah Kov is the biggest puncher. Everything he throws are thudding heavy shots.
