Tito wasn't a puncher at Middleweight though.

The fact that he's a natural LHW should tell you yes.

Hopkins has fought some big punchers, perhaps bigger p4p. Kovalev deffinetly has more power though.

Cleverly was just another overhyped Brit, Sillah fought nothing but tomato cans before fighting Kovalev, Campillo was a decent KO I'll give you that but he's still far from elite.

Because a middleweight Roy Jones isn't anywhere near the puncher that a light heavyweight Kovalev is. Unless you're referring to the 2010 Walking Dead edition of Roy...

You said they were all bums, and that was 100% false. All of three of these guys are high level Contenders/Belt Holders.

    Biggest puncher? Yes.

    Most skilled puncher? Probably not.

Definitely the hardest puncher. By far. Knocked out both Blake Caparello and Ismael Sillah in two (two!) rounds and Cedric Agnew in 7!

Its possible and if Hopkins wins it will possibly be his best win and bigger than the Tarver win.
Kovalev has an impressive resume with Campillo who some felt beat Shumenov both times and feel he beat Cloud, yet Kovalev scored a KO. Some may feel with that win that Kovalev beat the fighter who could have been unified WBA/IBF champ.
Then Kovalev beats undefeated and underated at LHW Cleverly for the WBO title.
In Kovalevs world title fights, his opponents combined records are 92-1-1. That is impressive

Cleverly and Sillah are bums and Campillo's hardly anything to scream about.

    William Joppy might disagree :bbb

Agreed however he wasn't as devastating at MW as he was a WW but it made no diff to BHOP as poor tito was chasing his shadow all night

i think it's fair to say that Kovalev will be the hardest puncher he will have faced.

surely that's an easy one to see??

Jones didn't hit harder. Tito on a P4P level did, but not overall. Kovalev, definitely.

I love Kovalev. Big fan and have been since the Campillo win that put him on most peoples' map.

But he is being ridiculously overhyped here.

    On ESB:

KO Ismayl Sillakh, Nathan Cleverly, and Gabe Campillo... Become legendary ATG whom a victory over is equal to Mt. Everest of boxing wins.

In the end, Kovalev has still only beaten two top 10 opponents (Cleverly, Campillo).
