Didnt GGG said he could make 154? why not fight Cotto at 155 for a CAREER PAYDAY?

For the 100th time, it is a MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT! He said he would go down to 154 for a jmw, not 155 for the supposed "lineal" middleweight champ, who, previously, allowed the last middleweight he fought to come in at 159. So whats the problem now? It's pure ***** ****. I'm a huge cotto fan but I hope he gets embarrassed and brutalized if ggg goes to 155.

So many dumb poster here middleweight is for a maximum weight of 160 lbs that mean if you weight 155 you are ok to fight for the title so if manny and floyd fight for the jr middle title both fighter will weight about 148 lbs, that still count for the 154 lbs, you are not supposed to weight exactly 154 for that. If GGG can make the 155 or 156 weight good if not do not take the fight. Cotto won the middleweight title but almost nobody believe he would stay there so let Him move down to His more natural weight, still think Cotto is a welterweight.

 

All I know is people are acting like this is the first catch weight that would have been seen in a long while. While the truth is we have been on long catch weight trend as of the past few years. This leaves to me to conclude that it's not actually about the catch weight, it's about the fear of Golovkin fans, of Golovkin losing to Cotto. Which is what I don't understand because he's supposed to be an absolute beast, and has said he could make 154. You would think with the combination of these two things if true, there would be no way he's losing to the much smaller Cotto.

 

Nah catchweights for titles were BS years ago, and they are STILL BS today.

GGG will make the weight, and crush Cotto. Which will then make the Floyd fans unhappy if he looks viable for 154.

But if you are saying that lineal 160 title should be fought closer to JrMW than full MW , well.. theres really nothing else to say :conf

 

1) It is the lineal MW Title - fight it like a man at 160
2) GGG will be getting far bigger paydays than the one he would get against Cotto

If you are saying that fighting for the lineal title at anything less than 160 invalidates that title, when it was just won at less than 160, then you're right, there isn't much to say.

 

Sergio weighed well over 160. you are high pal and missing the point, which is there should be no catch weight..:deal

 

159 is still BS, but at least its closer to full MW than JrMW
