Hopkins irritated with Kellerman when questioned about Kovalev fight

Hopkins will give another boxing lesson.

It will be Pavlik / Tarver all over again.

 

Hopkin's thinks he fools everyone by trying to come off as this deep and profound boxer when in reality he isn't any brighter than Broner. Hopkins has just been in the scene far too long and has managed to kiss the right ass. I hope he gets knocked out COLD. Alien my ass. Someone was probably making fun of him by calling him Alien because of his big, alien-like head and he couldn't detect the sarcasm.

 

this has happened so many times in boxing. ppl are fooled by guys that can punch and extremely underestimate guys that can box.

Good thing really, you need to think young to be in sport. If you start thinking mature too much, then the end wont be long.

Man Pavlic was supposed to kill Hopkins in the ring and was a healthy favorite in the fight. Moreover Pavlic was kind of more proven than Kovalev at the time and had KOed the man that had beaten Hopkins twice.

The reason why Bernard Hopkins was irritated with Max Kellerman was because of Kellerman's apparent lack of knowledge on the history of Hopkins' career. You should have seen the look of shock on Hopkins' face when Kellerman used Kelly Pavlik, Jean Pascal, and Tavoris Cloud as some of his biggest wins, while failing to mention the likes of John David Jackson, Glen Johnson, and Andrew Council.

Hopkins (and all of his fans) know that Jackson, Johnson, and Council were better fighters than Pavlik, Pascal, and Cloud. I highly doubt that Pavlik, Pascal, or Cloud would make it past 6 rounds against a prime '97 Hopkins, like Jackson, Johnson, and Council all did.

 

Not saying that Hopkins is gonna win but it wouldn't be out of the question. The same things were being said about Ali and Foreman, and Foreman and Moore.
