    As expected.

Poor Thomas Hauser. Guess Kathy Duva dropped the ball here and doesn't share his wet dream desire to 'expose' Al Haymon's 'shady' practices and Ali Act violations.

    :rofl

Haymon is undefeated, and cannot possibly lose. :deal

To everyone who thought that Haymon would lose, :pwned:woot:finger

The fact is, HBO refused to pay Stevenson what he was worth. Therefore, he left to go to Showtime.

It has nothing to do with Stevenson's refusal to fight Kovalev. He simply did not want to be with HBO any longer.

Happy for Kovalev though, now he has a good fight vs Hopkins.

Nice try.Stevenson AGREED to terms,as did his promoter and manager then:deal had a change of mind. This constitutes breach and they would have to have paid damages to Main Events and Krusher.
Hopkins (GBP) agreed to step in instead and this is the reason why the suit was dropped.
It's the Montreal ass hole who is now left out and with Main Events recouping their loss through Golden Boy ,they have have no reason to complain.:deal

    Nice try.

There was absolutely no contract agreement for their fight.

Even if Hopkins didn't step in, Haymon wouldn't have had to pay a penny. :hi:

Yep, and played it nicely. Also funny to see the plan backfire and Williams get stopped by old man Campillo. :rofl

Only bad thing is since Williams jr turned out to be **** and Hopkins soon to retire, with no Americans in the division it will soon be labeled weak

Almost certainly an out of court settlement with gag. Since Espinoza/SHO was named defendant in suit, dropping lawsuit was probably part of what Oscar negotiated with fight to get back on good terms with HBO while preventing retaliation from SHO/Haymon for crossing the street.

A fair bit of business for all sides really. ME gets their big fight, BHOP gets his payday and respect, Haymon/SHO dont have to endure a discovery period and deal with uncomfortable/embarrassing subpoenas.

Everyone wins, including the fans. Except Stevenson but the whole mess was his fault anyhow.

    Yeah.....

And you know what woulda happened in the long run.

Bhop woulda been stripped......Haymon woulda fed Stevenson someone like Allan Green, then rematched Dawson, while he would have Williams NO HEART Jr, fighting Mohammad, and woulda probably won that one, and he'd sign Williams Jr to Showtime, get couple bogus defenses stringing showtime along with the thought of a Stevenson vs Williams fight.:lol::lol:

Either way......only ppl lose by the outcome now is Haymon, Espinoza(who will undoubtedly be FIRED), and Stevenson.

Williams Jr fukked himself out of a Kovalev fight by quittage.

God help us all if Gabe is to somehow survive Mohammad........I can't imagine HBO putting on Kovalev Campillo 2.

    Bingo :good

As for the rematch, it sells itself. I can't imagine why people wouldn't watch with a tagline like "Irresistable Force meets Movable Object"

    Kovalev > Stevenson

    EASY

Stevenson did not wanted to get exposed. He's getting knocked down by D- fighters.
Even if his reason for changing to Showtime is different, fact is, his chin is china. :yep
