I'm not making gay jokes in your case your obsessively gay for Floyd Mayweather. There is no other explanation for it.

What do you expect when every thread you make on almost a daily basis is you acting like a giddy little schoolgirl, proclaiming how great Mayweather is. It's obvious he consumes your every though.

The problem for Duva and HBO here is that discovery cuts both ways. And when SHO/Haymon/GYM counter that Duva and HBO were in cahoots to artificially hold down the potential purses for the fight, isht would have got real.

You think she or HBO really wanted to be asked about the 'wink wink' deal for a Stevenson-Kovalev fight when neither fighter (at the time the fight was initially discussed) were not locked into HBO deals. You think HBO will risk Duva exposing their pricing offers for fights (incl. Kovalev-Stevenson) and then having Showtime or other entity testify it was willing to pay way more for the fight (as Schaefer already publically hinted at)? What happens when Duva gets under oath and has to answer questions about her newfound relationship with HBO, like getting Curtis 'Done Nothing to Earn It' Stevens getting a GGG shot?

There was weakness in Duva's case. She's claiming 'damages', but then brags about being able to put together a Hopkins fight in 30 hours. What happens when SHO/Haymon/GYM lawyers start grilling her about exactly how hard was she really working to get a lucrative fight for her fighter, instead of banking on HBO's largesse? Who else did you contact? Who did HBO make, or not make, available to you (Ward, Froch, etc.)?

I'm sure HBO told her to fall back with that.

I doubt an out of court settlement occurred since as Duva herself states, the signing of the Hopkins fight completely defeats the idea that there were any damages for them to claim. Further, the Showtime part of the case was absolutely the weakest part of it. The out of court deal would have been between Hopkins and GBP/Haymon since he's the one helping to bail them out here.

Incorrect, HBO and ME were perfectly clear on the deal they wanted. Also, most of what you are saying there is both unsubstantiated and/or not relevant to the case.

First off, Haymon and Co. would not have standing to question any relationship between Duva and her fighters. If they tried to bring it up an objection would be sustained. The defendants in this case have no call or ability to represent her fighters against her, its silly.

What does Stevens even have to do with anything? Stevens got the GGG fight because he knocked ppl out in front of millions of viewers on free TV, called out GGG, and was the biggest name willing to get in the ring at the time.

I dont think you understand how this process works.

Well getting BHOP on HBO was obviously part of the settlement. Quid pro quo. As you say, ME has their big fight now so damages become less relevant. Oscar won big by extricating GBP from the affair while simultaneously getting a good fight.

Haymon won by being free of it, so did SHO. It works out for everyone (except Adonis). I was originally responding to MVC's absurd Haymon fellating.

Actually, this lawsuit was a catalyst that brought down Schaefer, grounded Haymon, and took Golden Boy apart.

Main Events accused Schaefer of conspiring with Haymon months before the official breakup of Golden Boy. It's not the main factor, but it's definitely a tipping point for Oscar.

This lawsuit was HUGE win for Main Events. They got the fight they wanted. Haymon and Schaefer lost quite a bit of power and promotional houses are starting to work together again.
