I'm a bit shocked you aren't getting ripped for this thread. I think you are right on the money and I agree. People don't like Rios, but in comparison to Thurman, I think Rios would give him a good go. Rios isn't afraid to let his hands go and given how slow he is, it could be dangerous. I could see a scenario similar-ish to GGG's KO where his punch came in later but he was able to walk through the punch that hit him and floor the guy.
you stupid dumb fuc lol rios was getting his ass kicked chaves was up on the cards at the time of that bull**** dq chaves would have won by decision if it wasn't for that obviously corrupt ref.what makes you think Thurman has a bad chin how many times has thurman been knocked down.thurman easily handles the slow human punching bag brandon rios.
Thurman would trash Rios like he's a bad habit. Anyone that honestly thinks Rios, who's a walking sandbag at best, would beat Thurman is off his rocker.
Sorry I missed this yesterday. I was busy watching the rock get his title back yesterday on Monday night raw. But no I don't watch it
You have very low reading comprehension, where did I say Rios would definitively beat Thurman? This post has nothing to do with that. Rios punching power was affecting Chaves more than Thurman's, that's why Chaves adjusted and turned the fight into a foul fest he couldn't hang with Rios' power he was hurting him, yet he didn't have as much trouble with Thurman's power. Hence power wise Rios may have "kind of" exposed Thurman.
Thurman stopped actually Chaves, Rios was losing on the cards. Thurman would absolutely brutalize Rios, it would be Rios's last ever fight. Why? because Thurman is much, much more mobile than Chaves and even Alvarado who beat Rios in the their second fight by moving. Rios is terrible at cutting off the ring, he's a plodder. Rios would just be eating Thurman bombs until he capitulated without landing very much himself. Thurman runs through the TR and GBP stables, only guy who would maybe beat him is Maidana.
I disagree. Rios may have more power, he definitely has a better chin. But in no way did he "expose" Thurman. 1) People toss the word "expose" around too much and 2) Rios was down on the cards prior to the stoppage.
Thurman stopped Chaves while Chaves was beating Rios on the cards until the fight was stopped. I'm not following the logic here???
Chavez was winning a few rounds until he went on survival mode. I think Rios is underrated and it would not surprise me one bit that Rios gives Thurman the toughest fight of his career. I would lean toward Thurman only because of his power. But then again Rios has never been dropped or stopped. I have a hunch that this fight will go the distance. And it would be a tough fight for both combatants. I think Rios is a warrior and will test Thurman mettle.
I didnt read much into the thread though my first reaction was Keith would brutally TKO a game Rios....horrific style match up. I'm also unsure as to where the "exposing" happened.
No question . As of right now Chaves was the most difficult test of Thurmans career . You right , He was walking threw Thurmans powerpunches until he got caught with that bodyshot. But I don't see Rios beating Thurman TBH... Rios has an excellent chin but I See him getting pummeled against the ropes in a fight with Thurman .
He was winning up to round 9, of a 10 round fight. He could've easily lasted 1 more round, Rios never had him in trouble.
