Thurman stopped Chaves in the 10th and they were slugging it out, Chaves wasn't that defensively minded in the Thurman fight, because he didn't feel he had to be Thurman's punching power wasn't bothering him that much.

After about 4 rounds of slugging it out with Rios he began running holding and fouling constantly, because he was being hurt worse by Rios than he was by Thurman.

Not if Referee Count Dracula is brought in from Transylvania to stop the fight, or disqualify Thurman early.......................Rios can always count on his ref Count Dracula.........................that blood sucking *******!

It's ******* logic because one thing has nothing to do with the other.

In other words, the judges close scoring going into the last two rounds(if Rios/Chaves) has no bearing on a Thurman/Rios outcome.

Don't know how much easier I can make it for you:conf

He also dropped him in the 9th.

I think it was more a matter of styles, Chaves wasn't comfortable fighting in a phone booth so he opened up the distance and took the lead in the fight.

Thurman never attempted to make Chaves fight at close quarters, but he did the better job winning on the cards and finishing his opponent inside the distance.

Chaves got the better of Thurman in the exchanges that's why he didn't back off. He forced Thurman to change tactics and box more and go to the body which turned the fight in favor for Thurman. Rios is a better inside fighter than Thurman. Rios has an iron chin better than Thurman and was willing to pay a price to get inside and fight his fight. Chaves on the other hand wanted mid range because of his ability to beat Rios to the punch even still Chaves won most of the exchanges with Rios and was clearly ahead in their fight.
