Which HW beltholder had the worst chin

There are a few guys who could almost tie for that spot. If we're just talking about "belt holders" and not necessarily limiting it to lineal champions, then I think John Tate makes the fraternity of weak chinned titlists.

 

With all due respect Big U, Floyd got knocked down a number of times often due to his off balance attack. He also got UP more times as Champion than any other HW. Two first round Liston KO's, OK call em' KO's, at least one of them but his was getting to his feet. Liston said he'd NEVER hit anyone harder than he hit Floyd, feeling the impact deep into his back but Floyd rose. Ingo? 7? Getting to his feet again.
The Frenchman in 1954 who he stopped a few minutes later?
Pete R.? Which turned into a one-sided mismatch minutes later?
Quarry? 1st fight 2nd KD was brutal; Floyd rose, survived, and kicked Quarry's ass the rest of the way giving away a draw due to his nice-guy passivity.
How far do you want to go with this?
KD's yes, but many posters are talking about knockouts and Floyd was never on his back or belly hearing the ref toll 8-9-10, yer' out!

Very good. Bruce Seldon was knocked down by a gust of wind in his fight with Tyson....Shameful performance...He acted like a *****..

 

Everyone who has held a heavyweight title has had a fairly good chin. Floyd Patterson may have been knocked down 21 times, but he got up 18 times. Even guys like Maskaev and Tate, whose chins weren't the best, managed to defeat a number of guys known for their power. They didn't wilt every time out. Same with Frank Bruno. He was chinny, but he tried really hard to stay up.

The only guy who I didn't respect at all was Bruce Seldon. He went down a lot, and I can't think of a single time he went down with a concussive blow (like Hearns-Duran) ... where you thought "Boy, Seldon got rocked with that."

Just about every time he went down, he seemed to fall down because he was either scared or surprised, or just didn't want to get hit again.

 

He actually got up 19 times and was getting up the other two times.
IMHO, there isn't a HW out there EVER who would leave Floyd in a KO'd 'puddle'.
