The thing with Danny is that he is still young. He has a couple good scalps on his resume and what I personally think happened is that he took damage in the Lucas fight and got shook pretty bad. Then team Garcia said lets give Danny a soft fight against a reputable guy to build him back up... but he got a scare and almost schooled. His confidence is still shook so now they are giving him this hot garbage fight to bring him back. They now are forced to blatantly soft match him to keep his marketability and his 0. Interesting to see where he goes from here.
he has become a laughingstock..........no one takes him seriously anymore even his fans had enough............the guy proved to me that he is not a real champion........ he lost street cred..............
his resume at 140 is better than most. if i'm his management...keep it moving. you can't please all the fans all the time. fcuk 'em.
The post fight interview should be interesting. I have a feeling he will say something dumb. Hope not.
if fanny celebrates his win against salka its even more of a shambles.....after he knocks out this bum he should quietly leave the ring.........
Herrera is proven to be a formidable opponent, so really it's only 1 bad fight lol. But seriously though, he's done more than enough at 140 to have a crap fight. In my opinion, this doesn't affect his credibility at all, and I acknowledge this fight is garbage.
you can tell its getting to danny i was watching a clip and he lashed out saying he does not care what people think he acted out of character.............he does care deep inside..........
Yeah that was basically my point. Herrera was chosen because he is skilled...BUT light fisted. Had Danny beaten him convincingly I think the Salka conversation never happens. This to me is team Garcia acknowledging that they think Danny lost that fight and his confidence is down. Confidence is everything in boxing IMO.
You can't please all the fans all the time, but at times you can disappoint every fan. His resume should be the best, he's like the friggin lineal champion! A soft touch followed by a softer touch. Come on, there are more than 10 worthy opponents at 147, rematches as well as better opponents @ 140 he could've gone for. He isn't David Price, he's the #1 LWW in all publications.
