He rejected drug testing for the E-Rod fight. Hearn was interviewed about Porter-Brook and drug testing and indicated he tried to get it for the Super 6 final but apparently it was a no go as it wasn't part of the Super 6 deal, but Froch was fine with it. So I guess the rejection came from Ward's end.

With his terms that just means he won't get any big fights and he'll slowly be knocked down the P4P list out of inactivity.

Ward will never agree to anything unless it's what he wants :-(

I never understand why any athlete would not want random drug testing, as it shows that they are clean and not cheating.
I read recently how Hearns said it was very strong in the UK and that they can turn up at a boxers door and demand a test. That is good for the sport, but only if it applies for all.
    I will google it

I can agree with comments like that, but sometimes its about popularity and sometimes its about who has been beaten, but who did Ward beat for his team to be able to dictate terms for the S6?
Really Froch and Kessler are the fighters who deserve credit, with it all to lose and little to gain with the S6

Ward said he was going to do OSDT for the Allan Green fight (June, 2010) after many had raised suspicions regarding whether he might have been on something due to his involvement with Conte. But nothing happened.

He also said this in 2011

''I think it is [necessary for boxing]. I would welcome it. I think it’s great. That way there is no confusion about who’s playing on an even playing field. This is a dangerous sport. You hear whispers about guys, what they’re doing and not doing. You have to figure out who’s going to pay for it, but once we get past that - I think it should be something that’s implemented in every big fight,” Ward said.

Abraham and Froch's camp both called for it for their fights against Ward but on each occasion it never materialized.

Rodriguez wanted it but Ward outright refused to it, saying it was nothing but a publicity stunt and that he knew nothing about the conversation Conte had with his trainer Virgil Hunter about it a few weeks prior to the press conference where the issue was raised on camera.

That's four separate opportunities additional testing was either called for or was said it was going to happen for Ward fights and each occasion nothing has happened.

Regardless of who's to blame for it not materializing yet, fact is Ward has been saying he wants to additional testing for his fights since at least mid 2010. But here we are in mid 2014 and he still hasn't done it despite numerous opponents of his calling for it and one of their sponsors even offering to foot the bill for it, a sponsor that Ward obviously knows very well because they used to be part of his team. I'm pretty sure Conte still works with numerous other members of Hunter's gym too, well he did so up until recently if he doesn't still do now.

He's the consensus number 1 super middleweight in the world ..A fight between the two would most likely take place at 168 and he's the champ there ..

That's why he could and should dictate terms .
