    Rojas is landing all the right jabs he wants, herding Berry across the ring. Left hands on the nose by Rojas. Berry ducks and pushes in with a forearm dug into Rojas' side. Berry puts his head down and travels along the ropes. Berry comes up with a right hook, boxing southpaw. Rojas is jabbing the chest as Berry jogs away. Rojas bends in and throws uppercuts on the body. Berry tosses a backfoot right hook and seeks sanctuary on the ropes. Rojas throws long uppercuts at the body, looking a little tired.

    He never really was. Not just this one. He is a "do enough to survive" type fighter whenever he steps up past D class.

    He did have moments where he threw down but only when it seemed he absolutely had to because Rojas had positioned him in a tight spot with ring generalship. Mostly a very negative performance, and the most he did was make Rojas look a bit sloppy at times (never winning a minute, let alone one round)

    Though in all honesty, straw is largely ignored by fans and has always been. (outside Rodriguez's and particularly Takayama's home countries)

    Not that is should be...just is.

    The weight classes are like an upside-down pyramid in terms of popularity. The interest of most people lies in the least interesting division: heavyweight. Meanwhile the lower divisions are generally where the best stuff in boxing is found (though straw is often weak and shallow) yet very few people care about them south of welter.

    Streak looks really interesting right now in fairness. Not just at the top but also the B tier and emerging guys like Tanaka and Shiro. Some good Thai's too.

    Funny how Ali Raymi gets more attention than 90% of the division.

    Yeah but just due to how few guys participate (anyone with real talent usually moves up into the fly range to seek out an increase in challenges and/or money) it makes it hard to build a good resume. Nobody ever has more than one really good win. Two even decent "name" wins is considered a mind-blowing resume at straw.
