Loudon, I am giving you a bit of a chance here after exposing you to have an agenda and bending the truth. I hope I dont get so far down this time, only to find you have not been honest. We will see

You dont have an arguement, when you are asking me to pretend an active weight division doesnt exist. Why dont you grasp that? Still Im happy for you, that someone has given a thread pretending a weight division doesnt exist, some time. :patsch
You see Herol, you are considered irrelevant, and boring.
Think I will take Assassins good advice and stop wasting time on your posts. But, if I do see one that is not agenda ridden rubbish and a genuine debate, I will give it some time. Until then, enjoy

Did Ward go into the S6 final with a broken hand or break it during his fight with Froch?
As said Ward, delayed the Froch fight due to a cut, that I read, someone felt would be healed before the fight, so was the broken hand before or during?
Just because Ward said he never would, he didnt say he would if, that I know of, he didnt say he def would, that I know of

Like I said, maybe another time. lol

Yeah, I remember that interview. I have mixed feelings when it comes to Naz. I followed his career with a keen eye and loved watching his fights, but I absolutely despised him as a person. I was beaming from ear to ear when Barrera kicked his ass. The victory was even sweeter given that Barrera was one of my favourites back then too. Naz's power was something else, though. He was a KO machine.

    Bailey,

    Ha!

What you've wrote above, is a prime example of why you're my favourite poster.

There's no way you could have typed that with a straight face.

The word ironic doesn't even scratch the surface.

I've looked, and Toney was more proven, hence why he was held in such high regard.

I'm not deviating. I've just used an example to highlight that you need to take many things into consideration.

Let's be hypothetical, and say that Roy had knocked out Toney.

Would you still rate the Collins win higher, just because Eubank had done more than Toney at the weight?

How has Joe had a better win at LHW than what Dawson has?

How on earth do you come to that conclusion?

He only had two fights at the weight.

He beat Roy and scraped past Hopkins.

I know that if a thread was made regarding Joe fighting a LHW of the past, you'd analyse what he'd done at the weight, as well as what he'd done previously.

Again, I take everything into consideration. What they'd done before, what they'd done afterwards, their form, the manner of the victory, and their skills as a whole.

Yes, it often is. But their resume as a whole, not just a fragment of it.

    So that's it?

So if Collins had scraped by Eubank on a split, and Roy had've knocked out Toney in devastating fashion, that would have no bearing?

You'd still rate Collins's win more, because Eubank had done more at the weight?

    You haven't answered my question.

If I started a Joe vs Chad thread, you'd analyse Joe's skills and his overall body of work, taking many things into consideration, before giving an opinion.

    I know you would.

I've never said it wasn't a good win.

    Where have I said that?

I've given Collins lots of credit for beating Eubank, both in the ring, and psychologically.

All I've said was, IMHO, it wasn't a GREAT win.

    I haven't diminished anything.

The only thing I have a problem with, is your reluctance to consider any other factor, apart from that Eubank had the better SMW resume.

We're just going around in circles here.

I not only look at who they fought and when, I look closely at their skills.

Their footwork, timing, defence, shot variation etc, their whole skill set.

But you're saying that you won't take any of that into account, because all that matters to you, is their head to head stats at the weight, and nothing else.

If you think that Eubank was a better fighter than Toney, that's fine.

All I ask, is for you to explain why you think that.

But you can't say to me that Eubank was better than Toney, just because he did more at SMW.

    It's ridiculous.

You can't just dismiss it as merely an opinion.

Toney proved that he was one of the best fighters in the world at the time.

This is a great game you're trying to play.

I say that I think Toney was better, and you ask why.

Then I mention his abilities as a fighter, and what he'd done a few years previously.

But then you stop me in my tracks, because I'm only allowed to talk about what he did, specifically at SMW.

But because his SMW resume wasn't as good as Eubank's, you'll then ignorantly refuse to take anything else into consideration.

This is what you've done in every post.

    I don't see how it's debatable.

Once again, I'm not deviating, I'm just asking you to look at the whole picture.

    He was being hypothetical.

Why don't you go and read his ENTIRE post.

Because he's made some great points.

He's given a hypothetical scenario, like I've just done in my previous post to you.

You're mocking him and repeatedly highlighting that the weight division does exist, just so you don't have to answer him.

He's right in what he's said.

You only debate on your terms, twisting and turning, only making allowances for certain things, in order to come out on top.

That's what you've been doing with me.

With due respect Loudon. Herol has wasted my time with many silly posts and just name calling that he kind of burnt his own bridge, where I gave him alot of time, whilst he just played games and posted alot of irrelevance. Im guessing from what you are saying that he may have given a good arguement, but due to so many times he has just ducked questions etc, I dont have much time for time wasters

you ignoring good points is not me burning a bridge, its you not answering. You cant blame others for your own inaction.

you've been told several posts were not irrelevant on several occasions by other people.

you can start answering them anytime you like, but by now, pages later, its clear theres a good reason you couldn't.

So, sure, you take assassins backdoor outta here if that's what you choose. the Door of Cowardzaghe.

Sadly here is an example. I decided after Loudons comment to give the next Herol post a chance, even if it was about weight divisions not existing :patsch, and what a waste of time again.
Nothing relevant about boxing and name calling.
Same old boring scenario, which is why the overlooking has happened.
Yes Assassin was right all along, and I shouldnt have wasted my time here

He went into the fight with Froch with a slight injury to his hand, that I believe he did in sparring. But he fractured it half way through the fight.

I understand why you think Ward ducked Bute. I can see where you're coming from. But I just think you're being harsh. I honestly believe we'd have seen the fight at some point, had Froch not destroyed him.

I felt exactly the same mate.

But he was the guy that I loved to hate.

I was desperate for him to lose, especially when he and his brother Riath ditched Brendan. But I loved his fights and his interviews. I wish he was still around now.

I was screaming at the TV when he fought MAB. I was thrilled when MAB beat him. But I never thought at the time, probably along with many others, that we'd only ever see him in a ring one more time.

I can still remember the Calvo fight, where a section of the crowd booed him.
