Why do you keep mentioning the rehydration weights?

Did Tarver go into camp, solid, weighing in the 190's, with a body fat percentage of around 6%?

    No.

    Roy did.

A fight with Holyfield was almost made, and when it fell through, he had to get from the 190's, down to 175 for the weigh in.

I doesn't matter that Tarver weighed 187, to Roy's weight of 185, on fight night.

Because he didn't struggle to get to 175, like Roy had done.

He didn't have to burn any muscle to hit the weight.

Roy was always in great shape, and in 49 of his previous fights, nobody ever saw him as tired as what he was in the first Tarver fight.

He was running on fumes for the last three rounds. He was absolutely exhausted.

Look what happened when Tarver lost all of the weight from the Rocky film to fight Hopkins.

He was lethargic, and looked a completely different fighter.

But because of his famous "You got any excuses tonight Roy?" comment, he couldn't blame the weight loss for his performance.

If he'd have blamed the weight, everybody would have reminded him of what he'd said to Roy in 2004.

So he couldn't blame the weight.

So instead, he claimed he'd been poisoned.

But if he hadn't have asked Roy that famous question, you could bet your life he'd have mentioned the weight loss.

Look what happened to Chad Dawson when he fought Andre Ward. I've read John Scully's comments on this forum, where he went into specifics. John's a great guy, and he gave an honest account of the nightmare that they all had in camp.

Burning fat and burning muscle are two completely different things.

Mate you write pure shite..."dolfo Viruet, Andy Price & Randy Shields" better than Hopkins or Toney? GET THE **** OUTA HERE WITH THAT SHITE.

Toney weight drained...hmm Toney said that is wieght was "perferct and no problem" on HBO two weeks before the fight.

Such was his skills Roy Jones would have toyed with the ATG Toney at ANY point in his career.

What you have written inst opinion it's just lies from a hater and a liar.

    Clown.

You did not use it but you claimed it. If you deny the meaning of your claims it shows what a liar you are. Again, if Jones had to cut as much as you claim, why did Tarver always outweighed him after the weigh in, in 3 out of 3 different opportunities ?

After you ignored all my replies I have nothing left but do remind everyone of it.

You are the one claiming Tarver was the fresher guy.
Did you forget which way to lie?

And yes you got a hiding therefore you ignored my replies to you in the previous exchange altogether.

And you know nothing about Toney's weight problems before fighting Jones.
After all you are a ******.
Why do not you restrict your posting to other people's timeline statuses ?

Neither was great. I know all you know about this sport is Louis, Ali, Tyson and the fab4. It is good if you keep to your knowledge but refrain from replying to your superiors.

You should be banned for being a generic ****** a poorly designed web script could replace and no one will feel the difference.

How does Tarver outweighing Roy on fight night, alter what Roy had to cut?

No two guys are exactly the same, and everyone has different circumstances surrounding them.

Roy and Tarver had different physiques, and different body fat percentages.

Just because Tarver rehydrated more after the weigh in, it doesn't mean that he had a harder time than Roy to make weight.

You shouldn't need this explaining to you.

    frankenfrank,

Is this all you could muster up as a reply?

    That speaks volumes.

Quite right, I've got it in the wrong way round.

Please explain to us, how Roy could have been the fresher guy?

    Nobody but you believes this.

Tarver cut more was the idea.
Roy and Tarver had different physiques. Tarver was bigger in every dimension.

1 & 3 contradict each other so you have to solve it with yourself. I bet you will not.

2: So Toney had no weight problem in the Jones fight, or at least, nothing extraordinary. Illuminating.

4: You somehow manage to outlow the level of this forum. Not by much, but it is always interesting to see new depths in human intelligence.

It doesn't matter if Tarver cut more weight.

It doesn't mean that Roy wasn't more drained.

You're not taking any of this in.

Tarver didn't have to burn muscle.

Burning fat, and burning actual muscle, are two very different things.

Tarver has only ever burned through actual muscle, just once in his career.

That was Jan 06 - June 06, from finishing the Rocky movie to fighting Hopkins.

    We know what happened.

Roy had a body fat percentage of around 6%, and he was solid, weighing in the 190's.

He only had 2-3 months to get down to 175 for their first fight.

He'd fought 50 times, and was approaching 35 years of age.

It took it's toll on him.

We saw that, when after 9 rounds he was exhausted.

Again, Chad Dawson at 30, struggled greatly to lose less weight to fight Andre Ward a few years ago.

You can't just add up the pounds, without allowing for circumstances.

Had RJ walked away after beating Ruiz, we'd be talking the three greatest ever, rather than just Ali and Robinson.
