with all of the interviews they give this dude
it's 50% desperation since they are heavily invested in him being a star
and it's 50% racism since they rather give screen time to a buffoon like Broner instead of other intelligent African American up and comers like Thurman or Porter.

 

I actually dont know why they arent hyping up Thurman.
He would dismantle Khan and Broner in 1 round.
Plus they could say Porter is the Mike Tyson of WW.
I think even Zab Judah could outbox Broner.

 

You don't have to hype someone who's the real deal like Thurman. We've all heard the phrase "the squeaky wheel gets the oil", well this applies in Broner's case and any other athlete who's been outspoken. Showtime is just doing their job.

 

They need to get Keith fighting asap. He has fought once in 2014!

I hear you, but it's just as much the responsibility of the promoter as it the network. Thurman is one of the new "boogeymen" so to speak. He's in the risk vs. reward no mans land.

 

Seems like Showtime has been taken hostage by thugs in suits.

They, through no fault of their own, allowed themselves to be taken over. In signing their deal with the devil, they have ostracized themselves from 2/3 of the greatest fighters on the planet, and it will take a complete divorce from the thugs to bring quality back to their network.

At least ESPN and FS1 and NBCSports have options as to which promoters they bring on for their shows.

Sure, the typical quality of the fighters is not on par with HBO/Show fighters, but they're bringing these kids up and typcially giving HBO first take at long term tv deals.

 

Yeah they should be hyping Thurman or Porter. Why waste time with a no hoper like him.

 

But they should be to get him big fights.
People know fighting Broner will get them a big payday.
They should start comparing Thurman to past ATGs.

 

Thurman has been getting pushed aside of the lime light because he has called out Mayweather and a few occasions. He basically upset the applecart and isn't sticking to script. This is why a talent like him is not getting 3-4 fights a year. He has a great team behind him other than his choice of manager. He needs to break free and move on to someone that will have him in multiple fights a year and more importantly, on TV.

 

They're showing us Broner because that's who fans want to see. Broner brings in big ratings

 

Fans want to see him lose.
Difference between him and Floyd fans admire Floyd's skills but hate his personality.
Broner isnt that good so people just hate him fullstop.
