Exactly right. A younger and more physically prime Hopkins would beat Ward as he was more aggressive, quicker and knocked people out. But this version of Hopkins, although has the mastery to keep it competitive, would still lose to Ward down to not being able to keep up. It's a fight that really shouldn't happen, that's why both are not pushing it.

If this fight happened, someone could watch it and probably learn every trick in the book to fighting dirty.

Hopkins is 50 and there's no way he'll beat Ward in a fair contest,,...

Ward, Bhop bag of old school tricks wont work on him. BHOP is a great fighter when you compare him to modern fighters that have not been schooled in the old ways. Ward has been school and would not be lulled into Bhops fight. I see Ward winning this quite easily and getting zero credit because people would say age caught up to Bnard.

I also see Ward winning this quite easily. For Hopkins to beat a very good fighter these days, they need to be flawed in some ways. Ward is way too well rounded to let the old man beat him. I can possibly envision a TKO win for Ward, assuming Ward fights hard all the way and doesn't give the old man a break.

    Hopkins has no chance

You could probably hear their heads clashing together even outside the venue, some fellas might think that they get shot at

Prime for prime, this would be a great fight. I really think Ward is ATG potential (but his inactivity and seeming content with it, might derail his career from what it should be)

Hopkins would be fighting one of the few people who could match his in ring IQ.

I think Hopkins has a bit more, physically, but I do think Ward actually has a bit more to his game, as crazy as that might sound.

Hard to call.... I cant split them.

If they fought within a year Id obviously favor Ward, as BHOP is 49 years old  But prime for prime, great, great fight.

Ward would beat the hell out off b hop from inside, outside & midrange. Youll may think this fight will end up a foul filled clinch fest but i guarantee ward would make bhop finally really look his age. Ward is a sopposed faster more athletic version of b hop if thats the case than ward wouldve been a terrible match up for bhop at any point in his career especially now.

90% Ward wins on points, 10% Ward gets the stoppage.

I don't get this overating of Hopkins on this forum.... Hopkins is a has-been.
