    I didnt realise you were a newbie and I was perhaps a bit harsh on you.
    Toney does not have a great SMW resume. When Toney fought Barkley, he was fighting a fighter Benn blasted in a round.
    This is about resume, though we have all got into talking about how fighters have looked, but when it comes to resume, Calzaghe is a long way ahead.

    Watch from about 2:25 he's barely conscious stumbling all over the place. Calzaghe looks at the ref because he is surprised he is allowing the semi conscious boxer to continue.
    You also seem to be ignoring calzaghe knocking him down

    I wouldn't bother wasting your time on that clown his whole life revolves around trying to discredit Calzaghe. He's on here virtually every day doing it. The amount of time he's devoted to doing it is beyond disturbing. He's clearly genuinely psychologically disturbed. He doesn't just deny that Calzaghe knocked Mitchell down, he even accused another poster of being a liar for saying he did.

    Initially it seemed like a reasonable debate, until his interpretation of the mitchell fight, and an apparent lack of knowledge of anything prior to about 2006. I think he glances at Calzaghe's record and doesn't recognise the names so dismisses them as "weaklings" with no idea many held world titles.

    You won't get a reasonable debate with him because he's a troll and a certified lunatic. He's been doing this for years. When I said his whole life revolves around trying to discredit Calzaghe, and to a lesser extent the Klitschkos, I wasn't joking. I also wasn't joking about him being mentally ill either. He's been doing this for years, under various different accounts, REN being one of his other ones on here. It's a complete waste of time correcting all the crap he comes out with, it would take you an eon to do so given the amount of it he spews. Just ignore him. No one takes him seriously anyway.:good

    When you look at what the referee saw close up at 5:26 and 6:09, it seems like a perfectly reasonable stoppage.

    Hard knockdown in wild exchange, falls forward into the ropes. Rises on unsteady legs. Takes several clean punches with nothing meaningful in return. Legs stiffen involuntarily on at least two occasions. Staggers backward nearly halfway across the ring into the ropes. Nearly 30 seconds left in the round. Still seems unsteady a minute later (note Mitchell's second keeping his arm around him).

    Take away Calzaghe's rep, and there really isn't anything to see there.

    For all the talk of early stoppages on Calzaghe's record, there are no obvious examples where a referee's premature intervention had any impact on the result of the fight.

    I posted the video of the fight directly after he made that post, highlighting the time of the KD, but he still tried to pretend like it never happened. He's now trying to make out he hadn't seen the full fight, odd how he was getting into debates and accusing other posters of ''blatantly lying'' about Calzaghe scoring a KD without having actually having watched the whole fight. lol

    Funny how he saw all what occurred prior to and after the KD but not the actual KD.

    Like I said, he's mentally disturbed. lol

    Why do you have a problem with me seeing it later when you had posted the fight link?

    Mitchell was walking through Joes punches who turns to the ref. Mitchell on backing up slipped sideways on the point of stoppage. The ref didn't bother checking him, he just stopped it. Its British stoppage written all over it, saving the Brit fighter who picked someone a little too good.

    I don't have a problem with giving Joe credit for going toe 2 toe with the NABF title loser, but you should see the end result for what it is.
