Deontay has improved during the past two years.

The shop-worn journeyman Gavern will be lucky to make it out of the first round.

Just about ANYONE is capable of beating Wilder, he's so vulnerable.... Like others have said, he always makes these guys fight on short notice so they don't have time to adequately prepare themselves.... However, Wilder always takes on these light hitting mediocre journeyman.... He never fights durable journeymen like Zach Page, Sherman Williams, Guinn, Johnson, Welliver or hard hitting guys like Airich, Pala, Bakhtov, Gerber, Oloukun, or Leapai etc.... He's a coddled fighter.

Pretty much ANY fighter with real talent faces these types on the way up to not only test themselves but gain experience. But not Wilder, and we all know why....

He improved? Featherfisted Firtha almost had him down with a jab.

There is no way to improve with that China glass jaw.

While I would love to see Beyonce Wilder exposed I think it's an easy night out similar to Gavern's 1 round knockout loss to Amir Mansour.

Would be nice to see him last a few rounds & land something, plus we'd get a big "WOO!!" out of that i imagine.

Unfortunately, Gavern seems to be in awful shape for the fight. Would be even funnier though if he puts Wilder on the floor.

Wilder should be fighting every month with this type of competition.

Gavern has little to no chance.

Another easy KO win for the Olympic bronze medalist.

Ok great, Ross had a great chin. That only means that he could take one hell of a beating, which he normally did. Sergei Liakhovich was not a fringe contender. He's a former title holder. Scott is a very skilled big man and everyone knows it. He just has a crap chin. I watched boxing in the era in question, and I never viewed any of these fighters as any good except Schultz and even he was VERY marginal. Wilder has not even been a pro for 6 years yet. :patsch I think that Wilder beats everyone on Vlad's resume without question up to the Barrett fight.:hi:

I can't believe you mentioned Halstead. Did you actually see the fight? He looked like a novice they found down at the carwash. Falling down every time he got breathed on. The guy was a short, fat, slow clubfighter and nothing more. He built his record fighting cans in his hometown. Every single time he fought anyone with a pulse he got dozed. You did nothing but look at his record.

James Pritchard was nothing more than a club fighter as well. Every single time that he fought a top talent he got mugged. Not to mention the fact that Vlad fought him when he was pushing 40! Let's not pretend that Vlad fought the same guy that Weaver dusted 10 years before.

Well, if Wilder proves to be nothing but a low calibre fraud I would agree because those are the only fighters that Schulz ever beat. I'm sure that Wilder would shake in his boots after Schultz pulled off a world changing win against Kevin McBride. Wait, Schulz did get a decision nod against 40 + Bonecrusher Smith! Terrifying
