    :lol::rofl

No wonder the three loyal Calzaghe fans are losing it and have to resort to cheap name-calling after reading that.

You're going to have do better than that. A hell of a lot better.

You'll never be smart enough for your **** to work on me. Ever! So run along now.

It's all there in black and white. I hung you with your own rope and now you're trying to pretend like you're not swinging. lol

    Bye. :good

ha, not my style to get involved but thx for the backup. though I don't need it. I don't mind insults tbh as long as they aren't aimed at others.

this is new though - 'big brother' Bailey is claiming to know what I been doing in my house ... theres really no way you can reply to that!

why are you pretending that I'm pretending? that's a paradox surely.

Why you saying 'run along' when you're the one trying to leave? thats what bailey does - he runs away whilst shouting 'schooled you!!' ...are you his alt?

It wasn't back-up, just laughter at your factual yet comical post. Regarding back-up, you will need far more than back-up to convince those three(or two?) clowns that it's embarrassing for someone with 40 professional fights to celebrate in disbelief, tears and screams of joy for beating someone with 21 professional fights.

That ****** does nothing on here but desperately try to remind people that Calzaghe once existed in this sport. A fool like that should be thrown into the ignore list like you would throw an empty can of beer in the nearest trash bin.

well joe was a slow developer, remember, he had been fighting subnational/national for years under the pretence of world level, so it was kinda like Joe winning his first world title at the age of 34. Kinda, but not quite, he fought a few world class opopnents before that and had owned the least important title for a good while.

Remember the diminutive Stuart Halls jubilation or aged tv show champ's Ishe Smiths tears on at last winning a major title aged around 34? Same age, tears and screams. Good wins for them all, well done Stuart, Joe and Ishe. You all won your IBF major titles the same time very late in life, you all achieved on the same level in that respect.

Joe is in good company - he should be very proud that he managed an achievement on par with the little Geordie Stuart Hall and tv show guy Ishe Smith.

he doe write odd things but I don't want to resort to name calling personally. I just want an answer to the posts I made which must have been at least ten pages ago now.

The only name I been using against anyone is 'Cowardzaghe', and that's in jest only because its fun to see how it winds up nuthuggers. Gotta have some fun whilst I'm here.

No it's because you haven't heard of anyone from the start of Joe's era. Those that don't value Calzaghe's career are those that don't know much about that period of the division.
You call Joe Calzaghe a slow developer, and took a long time to achieve anything, but he fought Eubank at 25, and at 30 he had Reid, Woodhall, and Brewer on his record. Although not brilliant but at the same age Froch's best win was a 37 year old Robin Reid and was still fighting for the British title.
So why are you calling Calzaghe a slow starter and not Froch?
There are lots of weak names on Calzaghe's record, but there are also a greater number of good names than the other's mentioned in this thread.

Beating a Eubank coming off two losses and two exhibition fights overseas is hardly development.

    Oh dear :-(
Just what I noted earlier about Herol being an irrelevant poster is being found more apparent, and Scar makes himself look a fool by trying to back him up

But as the point I was making is that Calzaghe progressed faster than Froch, in order for you to counter my post you would not merely try to diminish the win but instead explain which of Froch's wins by the equivalent point in his career is against a stronger opponent. So which?

Although not a Eubank at his very best, still a very good opponent.

Remember it is resume, not what you think, but factual resume only.

Whatever top win you pick for Froch or Ward, Calzaghe has at least 2 better wins than either, before you go on to the rest of his resume.
    So how is it debateable?
I have only noted Froch and Ward, as they are people of today and

, and S Collins has 2 wins over Benn and 2 over Eubank, so I dont know if I would have Froch or Ward in the top 5 for resume at SMW, even if I think they would do well H2H. This is about resume, and many here dont know the division before the S6 or before Calzaghe beat Lacy.

Lets put any of it to the test.
I would argue that Wards best win is Kessler, and would guess Kessler is Frochs best win also.
Others will say Wards best win is Froch.
Well neither of those wins over faded Kessler or a win over Froch coming off a Mdec over SMW journeyman G Johnson, is as good as beating prime undefeated Kessler without eye trouble.
I would say Wards next best win is Froch, and Frochs, next best win is Bute. Both of those are way behind a win over Eubank, who many fail to note was younger than all of the other beaten opponents noted. In fact Calzaghes victory over prime Lacy, was in my opinion greater than Frochs over Bute, but that is another dispute.
Dawson has no SMW resume and Abraham has not been able to compete at top level at SMW.

    So lets test it out

    Calzaghe beats------------------Ward beats------------------Froch beats
    Prime Kessler--------------------Faded Kessler----------------more faded Kessler

I will leave it there as there is no need to go on, as there is little that I think can be debated, except perhaps the order.

Add Calzaghe has a better SMW win compared to any that you find for Ward and Froch and then you can not only add a better win every time, but also Woodhall, Lacy, Bika (prime), Veit 2 other SMW champs not mentioned that Calzaghe beat, as well as the other top 10 SMWs not mentioned.

Calzaghe beat 3 undefeated fighters that either were or became SMW champs.
Froch beat 1 undefeated fighter that was a SMW champ.
    Ward hasnt done that.
