FOTD is just an accolade; has no real bearing on how a career pans out...Case in point, many boxing historians have Harry Greb ranked over Benny Leonard, but it was Leonard who was voted Boxer of the Decade over Greb.

Yeah because Margarito is known for his speed and quickness...

Also, he may need that to shine, but all he needs is an opponent to win...

Floyd may be ranked higher all time when all is said and done but you can't pretend like the two things are mutually exclusive. FOTY, FOTD does not mean the most exciting fighter or some of those guys would have never won.

PBF is the face of the sport not Pac period end of discussion. He's also the highest paid athlete in the world. Not to mention P4P # 1 and undefeated. I'll ask you again who had more to gain fighting who?

Absolute Bull**** Floyd has said many times that he will NEVER do business with Arum & Top Rank. The myriad of pathetic excuses Floyd has made not to fight Paquaio have included the comedic & the ridiculous. Every know in their hearts, especially Floyd, that the reason Floyd wont fight Manny is.....

i think any unbiased boxing fan knows that the fault falls to both fighters. Everyone made excuses. I think at the beginning both wanted the fight but their egos were to high to negotiate. People blame Mayweather for asking for drug testing even though nobody before had asked for it yet nobody had asked for a 10 millions dollars a pound penalty like Pacquiao asked and Mayweathers camp accepted.

exactly this, I used to be a ******* (post history shows it ) and completely agree with what you say, however the difference is that floyd did agree to Pac's demand and pacquiao did not.

If we all go back to 09, before negotiations had failed, it was rumored that team mayweather were requesting testing. I remember seeing Roach in a interview saying that they would do what ever drug test they wanted and floyd was being a chump. Michael (pacs manager) also came out while it was a rumor and also said that was no problem at all and they have already agreed to contracts.

then both golden Boy and top rank both make it official that the fight is off because of drug testing request, that's when this whole drug testing created a buzz, when manny denied. Fans of manny claimed pac is clean and such a request is a way to avoid the fight in attempts to defend manny & floyd fans claimed pac is hiding something. My point of it is that the whole *****/******* thing did not start until pac denied testing, before that the request to drug test did not seem to be a big issue at all until pacquiao denied it. No one had really thought pac would deny it.

its not as simple as they both made excuses, first of all a lot of the blame has to go to floyd, he originally had a lot of demands and his steroids accusations and blood test demands were not typical in boxing espeicially how forceful he was with it, they were level at the time too, floyd also always gave off a vibe that he didn want to fight him. Pacquiio however had the choice to just shut him up and take the fight and sign any demands but he didn which might indicate that he was doping but still doesnt excuse mayweather of not really wanting to make the fight. Floyd is also universally blamed in the media and former boxers and insiders, and he doesnt seem to give a ****, he seems happy not to make the fight, and pacqiuio in recent times has excepted any demands but the fight is stilll not made

It has not been made because neither camps have tried to make it happen. Pac saying he gives in to all of Floyd's demands on espn or some interview is not exactly negotiating a fight. A fight of this magnitude requires negotiating, lawyers etc and agreements after a series of meetings. I haven't seen Bob at all interested to contact team floyd or golden boy. Also the fact that Pac went diva and tried to sue floyd could of burned bridges. The whole thing is just such a cluster fu*k. Both sides hate each other and have tried to make it in the past with failed attempts.

Also, if you can provide a link to all of Floyd's "crazy demands. The whole drug testing was "new" at the time is a bunch of b.s. If pac straight out objected to testing because it was a "insult" then he should of never offered a 24 day cut off. The fact that he was trying to black out potential testing dates made the whole thing fishy.

and that's why the sport is hated like never before. :deal considering that any and all objective opinion sees floyd doing the running away, he has more to gain by stepping up.
