I agree-I just don't understand the hype on Kell Brook,He seems like a decent guy and has skills, but at this level he appears so out of place. It's great to have the backing of the Brit fanbase, but they won't be able to help him in the ring come Saturday night.
I hope I am wrong and that Brook can hold his own but I just simply don't see it.

Brook has good speed, power, timing and accuracy.

What do you see in Porter which makes you think he is any better?

Am not a big fan of Kell but I did think the American posters would be more knowledgeable in regards to his talents.

IMO opinion, if Porter fails to implement his fight plan against Kell, he will lose. Porter is quite crude and tries to use his size (not height, but he was a career Middle at amatuer and start of his career) to bully and bull rush his opponants, winging in shots while they are under pressure.

If Brook can cope with this, I believe with his better fundamentals he will beat Porter.

One thing's for sure, Brook is very relaxed and looks ready and eager to go in there and get the job done. That's a sign of a great mentality at least.

In this particular fight they are equal neither have done anything remarkable. With that said Brook has the advantage in size Porter is a short bloke and will be reaching if he gets to careless he will get popped on the way in.Brook keeps him on the edge of his jab ( this could frustrate shorter porter) Porter is probably faster but speed can be neutralized with timing. On defense Brook has to be careful i don't like how he has lapses he keeps the hands down.

I have BROOK by TKO 7.Too be big, too strong for Mr Porter. The jab is the key for brook.

    I was wrong! way off.

See this is what annoys me about Brook fans. They seem to knit pick facts. Porter has KO'd 3 of his last 10 but Brook has KO'd 17 of his last 20. Well Brook has only KO'd 7 of his last 10 and Porter has KO'd 11 of his last 20.

The fact is Porter would probably have more KO's if he had faced Brook's opponents too. Brook may be able to hurt Porter early on but Porter is fitter and has the style to force Brook to work at a pace he doesn't like. Porter is also proven at a higher level, this is why he's the favourite Brook fans can't seem to get their heads round this.

To be fair Porter fans don't seem to be any better. Look at the title of this thread. Many people are giving Brook no chance, saying he's a fraud, faked injuries, going on about his opponents win/loss ratio's etc. Going by that Porter deserves no credit if he beats Brook and if he struggles or loses he should be labelled a complete hype job.

The loser of this fight will be seriously discredited - maybe more than he deserves. The winner may find he still hasnt completely won the fans over......lose-lose scenario......:yikes......:!:
