I wish people would stop acting like Mayweather would have lost to Margarito.

He was an overrated piece of **** cheat who defined the term exposed after he got caught loading his gloves. There are lots if fighters you could name that pose Mayweather problems or you might pick against him. Tony is not one of them.

The Mayweather ducking stuff is overblown, him being a ducker is like saying GGG is ducking Quillin simply put you can't duck guys who are on record saying they don't want to fight you. Or in some cases guys who lose when there close to getting a big fight.

It seems there's some Margarito hype lately most people don't even know what really happened Mayweather agreed to fight Tony as early as 05/6 but TR wanted him to sign an extention, Tony called Floyd out at the post fight presser for May-Baldomir and proceeded to lose his next fight only notable win his his career came in 08, 2 years later and guess what in his very next fight he got caught cheating destroyed and suspended. Clottey, Quintana are not big wins.

From a boxing perspective Margarito isn't on the level of the guys Mayweather has had trouble with, Castillo is the best LW in 25 yrs and an ATG at the weight., Maidana is a legit 2 weight champ and has been a top 3/4 Champ at JWW/WW, if you add in Hoya he's an ATG. Margo is no ATG no ATG WW, he was barley a WW Champ so where does the hype come from.

Excuse me bro but Castillo is widely considered the best LW of the era has one of the deepest LW resume in recent history when you're considered the best fighter in an era at a weight its not hard to imagine them being ATG at the weight aswell and Castillo is in fact a top LW. I'd have him closer to 30 all time at LW than 20, and who are these LW's in the last 20 or so years that have a better resume than Castillo certainly not Mosley or Mayweather, I'm pretty sure most of Whitaker and Chavez sr work at LW was in the 80's so who Hoya, Pacquiao none of them have a better LW record being a hater just for the sake of hating is never good.

As for the last 25 years the best lightweight is clearly Pernell Whitaker with De La Hoya or Castillo being second depending on how you score Castillo's close fights at the weight( i think he lost twice To Johnston, drew with Casa and beat and lost to your idol) but even if you go by official results hes nowhere near an ATG lightweight... Nowhere near.

 

LW is one of the deepest divisions in boxing history being top 30 at LW is worth more than being say a top 5 SMW. And to get this straight in the last 25 yrs you can only name one guy who you'd surefire put above him at LW which is exactly my point. If you feel Castillo beat Mayweather in the first fight that win alone is probably better than almost any win you can name in that time span, finally I don't idolize anybody that's for people with no father or no life I'm a sports fan an undoubtedly Mayweather is the best currently in the sport.

How ridiculous is it that you can argue that only 1 LW in 20 yrs is above Castillo yet Castillo is not a top flight fighter.
