    This is actually good.

Ward loses the lawsuit and goes broke. So he's going to have (gasp) start taking fights outside of Oakland.

That's the kind of people a good, wholesome clean-living, god-fearing family man like Ward wants to associate himself with and represent him? :rofl

Ward/Goosen should just settle, finish out their contract or just buy it out.

his actually going to lose this one too, Ward obviously not going to have to pay the full 10 million but its still going to be a lot

Is this the first case of a fighter screwing himself out of his money and given it to his promoter? because its always the other way around

    Ward sued first

Besides they always sue for crazy amounts at a start for negotiations sake, then start going back and fourth from there.

They will settle it in mediation.

Goosen is using legal system to tell Ward, "You want out? Okay, but pay me"

    F cuk you.
Ward needs to buy himself out, if he thinks he can't work with Goosen again. Having one of the best boxers in the sport inactive isn't good. Ward is a great talent with a chance to be an ATG but he's wasting away his career.

I also wondered had Ward been with Al Haymon could he have gotten him out of this, he did get Mayweather out of that Top Rank contract and he is so powerful in boxing I'm pretty sure he has powerful lawyers etc
