Goossen suing Andre Ward for $10 million (defamation)

Yeah, this s#it's just stupid. I'm not the biggest Ward fan but I've got huge respect for both his achievements and ability and to have him just rotting on the vine is ridiculous.

Thing is I think he just needs to suck this s#it up and fight out his contract, 'less he fancies another coupla years commenting on other guys' wins.

Yet he's messing his career up with this goosen mess. Just fight out the rest of your contract or get your new promoter to pay Goosen off if he doesn't have the money.

It's a mess, it should have never gotten to that point. Ward re-signed with Goossen in the Fall last year, he's there for the long haul. Goossen's got him in his stable for many fights to come, and Ward got upset by because his personal friend is not getting a cut of the revenues from the E-Rod fight based on a verbal discussion from September. Verbal! Nothing on paper! And Ward thinks he's got grounds for a lawsuit? Doghouseboxing.com summed up the entire thing last week, check it out. Ward is being wrongly advised, yes that's probably all James Prince, and Goossen got upset at the criminal allegations Ward made this week.

If anything, I feel bad for Goossen who got the man everything he wanted up until 2013 where Ward asked HBO to fight Truax or Kashtanov instead of E-Rod. Jesus Christ.

Ward seems completely delusional. This idea that his talent will somehow just stay with him despite his advancing years. Oh sure it might, he could wind up being the next Hopkins, but for every Hopkins there are ten Mosley’s and Jones Jr’s. Also, his promoter should be getting him fights while he’s suing them? it’s like expecting your spouse to put out during divorce proceedings. I am genuinely shocked at how out of touch with reality Ward appears to be.

I actually agree with you, if Ward doesn't really have any legit reason for this lawsuit except money issues with Prince or whatever then he is being a *****.

IMO Goosen handled his career masterfully, he had every advantage in the Super Six, that may not be the reason he won it, but it still means alot.

 

Ward is all talk and full of bs and politics.

The problem here is that Goossen won't give Ward his personal referee and judges.

 

Ward should have just finished up his damn contract.

Shouldn't have signed the ****ing thing if he didn't want to honor it.
