You need to calm your ass down. You appear to me like one of those Canelo fans sending death threat to Lara's wife.

It was a close fight. But over 12 ROUNDS, Lara only outlanded Alvarez by 10 punches.

10 more ****ing punches over 12 rounds? That is not a robbery. Meanwhile Alvarez landed 36 more power punches.

It was a close fight, get over it.

Interesting take on scoring. Landing more punches is inconsequential, however, body language is certainly something to take into consideration.

Body shots are worth more when you land more of them and they give you control over whole portions of the fight. This is not ESOB (East Side Olympic Boxing).

Total number of punches landed in a fight is not evidence someone won. Punch stats (landed) are very subjective. It has a lot to do with body language. And we always hear about how "ring generalship" is one of the 4 pillars of scoring. I don't even subscribe to that theory but we hear it all the time.

Well ring generalship is body language. Not only that, but here's a situation where Canelo was criticized for trying to outbox Floyd and not being aggressive. Then he proves he can be more aggressive and literally makes the fight with Lara and he gets criticized for it. Canelo fighting Lara is something Floyd won't do. Floyd won't fight a tall lanky boxer puncher like that. Canelo not only does that, but makes the fight exciting for the fans by getting inside and eating some jabs and right hands, to land brutal body punches and a few really good right hands himself. We've seen Floyd get cut, steamrolled by Maidana for 6 rounds and escape with a controversial majority decision. Floyd didn't go in there and make the fight exciting like Canelo did vs Lara.

We often talk about how some fighters are exciting while others are sweet science specialists. Canelo showed that he is not one dimensional like FLoyd. He can actually cut off the ring and fight on the inside, and make the fight exciting, unlike Floyd. He knocked down Trout, he knocked down Lara, though the ref ruled it a slip. He's showing he has much more skill and versatility than Floyd, that he has power and a high boxing IQ, that he can work the body effectively and slow a very good boxer puncher down. Even if you personally believe Lara deserved to win, how can you criticize Canelo or call it a robbery. The guy put on a show for the fans and hurt Lara. Lara did well early, he won some of the early rounds, but then he got on his bike and ran away for most of the fight. That's hardly a robbery when one guy is walking a skilled boxer down and roughing him up on the inside. FIrst to Trout, then to Lara. You don't even see Floyd fighting these guys. Give Canelo some credit for putting on some amazing performances against guys Floyd would never fight. Scoring boxing is subjective.

I have to agree with Teddy on this. Canelo as the 'A side' is only taking an 'L' if he's KTFO. For the majority of the rounds, Lara was in charge.

I think GBP paid for victories in his last 4 fights, but that doesn't mean he didn't deserve them.

I scored it 116-112 for Alvarez. Anything from 117-111 to 115-113 for Canelo is a good scorecard.

Lara ran too much. He didn't box and move, he literally RAN.

Teddy Atlas is a psychotic egomaniac.
