joey lameass maxim for chrissaake...he was getting his ass handed to him by patterson in that clip!...he didn't deserve the win. and STOP COMPARING HIM TO HOPKINS OR WARD! THAT'S AN INSULT! DON'T TRY AND LIFT UP YOUR GUY OFF THE BACKS OF FAR, FAR MORE TALENTED FIGHTERS!

    I can agree with this.

Joey Maxim and the word "****" do not belong in the same sentence.

    Maxim fought

    Sugar Ray Robinson
    Archie Moore x3
    Ezzard Charles x2
    Lloyd Marshall
    Jersey Joe Walcott x3
    Willie Pastrano
    Jimmy Bivins x2
    Floyd Patterson
    Freddie Mills
    Gus Lesnevich
    Bobo Olsen
    Eddie Machen x2
    Bob Satterfield
Curtis Sheppard x 3 (who both Moore and Maxim said was the hardest puncher they ever fought IIRC)

    Among others

And was stopped only once. Some bum. If Maxim's a bum then what does that make Mayweather whose balls would look like peanuts in comparison to Maxim's Jupiter-sized nuts.

first of all, forget the SRR fight...that was decided by the weather and SRR coming down with heat exhaustion. Maxim punched the air all night.

I never seen gus lesnevich fight, lol...nor freddie mills...i heard of them, though.

    never seen satterfield either.

curtis hatchetman sheppard...now wasn't he one of the black fighters joe louis ducked which was why louis only defended the title against two black men?...wasn't sheppard ancient by that point?

All i know about bobo olsen was that SRR used him as a punching bag on numerous occaisions.

    floyd patterson actually beat maxim

not sure why i'm supposed to be impressed by this list...you want me to provide a list of all tghe guys floyd fought, ALL OF WHICH HE BEAT?

-Maxim was in the same building. He wasn't a pressure fighter, he adapted his strategy to the heat and forced SRR to wear himself down. SRR bit off more than he could chew against a great LHW.

    -Not surprisng. You know nothing.

    -You should see Satterfield fight.

-:patsch He was 23 ****ing years old when Maxim beat him twice in their Trilogy, dummy!

-Than you know nothing about Olsen. He was RING Magazine fighter of the year and a major P4P player with a win over the great Kid Gavilian.

-Close fight. Maxim got the official nod.

    -Because you are ignorant.

-Of course Floyd beat all his opponents, he didn't face this type of competition. There is about 10 Hall of Famers on that list, all of which were in their prime and fighting at their best weight.

Just post all the fighters Mayweather's fought that compare to the calibre of opponent Maxim regularly stepped in there against. I don't give a crap whether Maxim won or lost, I'm talking about the gargantuan size of his plums.

Just the first eight from my list.

    Sugar Ray Robinson
    Archie Moore x3
    Ezzard Charles x2
    Lloyd Marshall
    Jersey Joe Walcott x3
    Willie Pastrano
    Jimmy Bivins x2
    Floyd Patterson

Let's see yours for Mayweather. It's at this point you've lost, nothing more needs to be said. Mayweather would never have dreamed of fighting half those guys let alone done so numerous times. He wouldn't even fight Pacquiao for goodness sake.

Your list is counterproductive, it illustrates he never beat be great fighter at their peak. He has two great fighters on his résumé and they were both well past it when he fought them.
Ssm beat odlh in his prime, Floyd doesn't have a win like this.

    - sugar ray was way ahead...t was the 13th round. when he collapsed form heat exhaustion. obviously the heat affected him more than maxim, but maxim was outclassed the entire way.

    - come to think of it, i diid see a youtube video of lesnevich vs charles...lesnevich was crap. never seen mills though.

    - Sorry dude, I can't continue with this response, I just feel like I'm talking to an out-of-touch fossil who is stuck in his ways and is gonna keep throwing guys like lesnevich and maxim at me like they're really comparable to RJJ or someone of that caliber, lol. I'm wasting time talking to you.
