Not massively better, but better enough all round to take this. Brooks only hope is that his jab actually is World class like people keep telling us, but I have my doubts and think when his jab isn't anywhere as effective as he expects, he gets disheartened, goes into his shell and gets battered.

That is the plan, but i have no confidence in brook doing it for the whole 12 rounds if it goes far, i think brook fatigues, starts moving less and then Porter will wear him down.

kell should be worrying about porter's pressure style... if porter lunges in quick and lands a few solid shots like he did against Alexander/paulie then brook will be in trouble..... brook got caught with something from karl david(lol) that he did not see coming and buzzed him... porter WILL hurt him

He is slower, has worse footwork, inferior technique and has less punch power.

Kell, at his best, takes this.

He also showed against Jones that when he's up against a come forward fighter who he can't move around with the jab he gets pushed onto the back foot where he runs out of ideas, panics and his stamina is questionable when he isn't controlling the pace.

He showed his heart against Carson Jones. Many people view this fight as a negative, but for me it was a positive.

There is no quit in Kell.

Porter slower than Brook:lol:, no, just no.

Footwork, Brook moves in straight lines, Porter fights off great angles, he has better footwork.

Technique, Brook is technically more conventional, but is that better?

Power, Brook has power but will he carry it to World level?

Did you watch the rematch. He hardly trained for the first fight.

Kell has excellent footwork, won't just get bullied to the ropes. Porter will chug forward all night throwing wide hooks.

Yeah it's about who is able to implement their game plan. How will Porter cope if he is unable to get beyond Kell's jab and Kell is able to time him coming in? I'm not convinced yet about how good Porter or Brook is so I give both guys a good chance of winning. I don't see either as a big favourite.

    Yes, just yes.

Watch his last two fights again and talk to me about footwork.

He is an athletic, pressure fighter. Nothing more, nothing less.

Far more holes in his game than Brook. But, and it's a big but, Kell has to be mentally on his game. He cannot allow himself to be out worked or bullied.

Porter has faster hands, feet and can actually fight on the inside.
Brook has more power and a bit better at long range but has no inside game.

Key to this fight for Brook is the jab.. a solid jab.

He has to find his timing with his jab early and keep sticking it in Porters face. Porter covers ground quick then when he gets inside changes angles to get his shots off. If Brook offers a solid jab and continues catching it with him when he tries to bomb forward, it'll make him think twice about doing it.

so excited for this! truly a tough call I've been a KB fan for years, but think a few reading too much into the first Carson Jones fight he never trained properly for that we all know he changed it up afterwards (nutritionist etc) and also he schooled him badly for 6 rounds then gassed and the envitable happened, also think a few are over rating porter don't get me wrong porter is top fighter its truly a pick em fight but prior to the Devon fight he was off the radar remember, just can't wait now!!

I was convinced that the fight will get cancelled again at some point so I suppressed my excitement but no I think it's safe to assume it's nearly go time - great fight and very decent card - I think Porter will be too much and will win by TKO but come on Kell please prove me wrong!
