once again you're missing the point...i'm showing that floyd fought comp that was close to what maxim fought, but difference is that flolyd dominated his comp while maxim WAS MOSTLY DOMINATED by his.

so, canelo, castillo and corrales were not in their prime? ODLH was still close to his prime...shane was coming off a ko of margarito.

How was the JMM fight tainted? because floyd came in 2 lbs above the weight limit? He fights guys like maidana, cotto, ortiz and canelo who come in 20 lbs over the weight limit! why aren't you complaining about that?...because it's not a problem for you, right?

I think Roy Jones Jr. could beat Ali on points at heavyweight. That puts him damn near the top on my list.

Well I should've probably prefaced my statement by saying I'm a fan of FLoyd- I don't particularly care for his antics outside of the ring but I only judge boxers by what they do inside the squared circle.

I thought he beat Cotto handily in their first fight- somewhere in the 8-4 realm. I believe he'd whitewash Cotto in a rematch- something like 9-3 or 10-2. Only reason why it would be significant is because FLoyd would be able to hold the lineal MW championship. This is a guy who started professionally at 130 lbs. Only other people that have achieved this feat is DLH (a controversial win against Sturm,) and Duran's win over Iran Barkley. Beating Cotto for the lineal MW title in my mind would move up FLoyd a few spots in the all time rankings.

And I never said FLoyd was ducking Pacman or vice versa. Truthfully I think both are somewhat at fault for the fight not materializing at its peak 3-4 years ago. But this isn't anything new in boxing- it took Lewis and Tyson so many years before they got int he ring together. Same thing with Hagler and Ray leonard (although Leonard was in an out of retirement for most of the 80's.)

And your last paragraph is such a terrible misnomer. Floyd has become a crossover star, but don't sit here and tell me Ali wouldn't have been a crossover star if he fought, and dominated in today's HW division. He was the most charismatic fighter of all time and he wasn't able to live in the internet/twitter/paparazzi era. Just imagine if all those things were around when Muhammad fought?

There's many fighters in the past who I am sure would be huge crossover stars in the current form of boxing due to all the exposure through media and television.

And the last thing I want to say in response is you mentioned some media pundits will "objectively" rank Floyd # 2 P4P all time. No one will ever rank him that high. That's just silly talk. He will never catapult over guys like Robinson, Armstrong and Greb.

Canelo, Castillo, corrales are not Atg doesn't matter they were prime. As for the weight, he came in two pounds over at the weigh in, the other guys balloon up the next day. One is a violation and gets a fine, the other is not. Why can't you understand that ghetto child? Go get a job ****** and stop leaching off the world.

-Maxim TKO 13 this is irrefutable. Robinson doesn't collapse without Maxim's body punches and pressure.

    -Of course.

-You can't keep up with me, its ok. Few can. Maxim beat the HW RJJ in Joe Walcott. Walcott was just as athletic, unorthdox, and crafty as Roy and about 20 lbs naturally heavier.

I like this list better even though some guys are still missing. 10 fighters covering 75 years wow very hard to do.

Johnson hadn't fought in like going on 30 years by 1940. Dempsey had been long gone too...

No way is a bottom feeder like Marciano in the top ten all time P4P since 1940. Not even close...

fighters and other athletes become crossover stars for different reasons...with ali it would have been challenging because heavyweight boxing is pretty much dead. but floyd is a big lightweight and he fights at jr welter and welter and jr middle...and he's 38years old, dominating all-comers...eventually people notice...not the fight fans on ESB, because they're mostly haters who don't care or give credit or acknowledgement...they a buncha riff raff...but the people who make a living studying sport in general and what makes a great athlete...there's a lotta money in mining a guy like floyd for his crossover appeal. there's a lotta respect afforded floyd among the sports elite.

so, you mad because floyd came into the fight 2 lbs over, but you have NO PROBLEM with maidana, ortiz, canelo etc coming in at 170, 175, etc...25, 30 lbs more than floyd? Really dude?...that's your story and you sticking to it, huh?
