Seems all the managers are way too protective of their fighters and would rather pad their records with bums than give the fans the fights that they want. Deontay Wilder takes the cake when it comes to this next to Tyson Fury
i see your high lmfao Fury wasnt afriad to take challneges when he was 20 and training in a pub, wilder is 30 and wont fight guys unless there on disability
the heavy weight division is sh!t now because now its too emphasized on size, both height and weight, back in the day it was more about skill, fighters in the heavyweights were fighting anywhere from 210-235, and 240-260 being the heaviest of the bunch.... back in the day, heavyweights were in shape, their bodys had good definition and were lean....today they be eatin all that creatine and whatever peds arent detectable and trying to get bigger rather than better.....back in the day it was about skill and how bad you wanted it, today its all about size
You mean back in the pod old American day lmfao deal with it mate, Europe is going to dominate 160 upwards in a few years
and thats why i loved tyson so much, 5'10 and always fighting bigger guys, geting on the inside with his defensive skill and rocking them with his speed and power...most tysons opponents had 4+ inches on him...
Damn right if 9 of the top ten were morbidly obese and using mobility scooters but were American it would be golden age Crusierweight had supposedly been weak since Holyfield left it dispute there being lots of great fighters and lots of strength in depth Light heavyweight will be called weak once Hopkins retire even though they have more talent coming through than any other division Supermiddleweight was really weak for 10 years while calzaghe was dominating, since ward has been on top there it's supposing red hot, even though guys who couldn't win a title in calazaghes era are now champions and a lot of the top fighters are calzaghe leftovers Now middleweight is weak because ggg is dominating and there is no good American middleweight(don't mention shitty quillen and not even too 20 Jacobs)
im not american, nor could care if the champ is american or not, i still think heavyweights now are more size than skill, when compared to 20+ years ago
The majority of heavyweights 20 years ago would be cruieeweights today and be getting smashed by huck and the likes
prime tyson would not be getting smashed, quite the opposite, as for many of the others from the era, you may be right, but thats because there is no size limitations, we got a chinese fighter 7 foot tall making his debut, but skill is lacking, you got valuev, tyson fury david price ect....theyre big, and win because theyre big, but seriously lack in skill
Price has serious skill for his size unfortunetly he lacks a chin Fury is skilled when he wants to be,there's no one near his side who can put together combos like him You named only one fight mate hardly a big line up
a lot of these guys are out of shape and just aren't very good. You can still get some very good fights like Derek Chisora vs Helenius, Cunningham vs Mansour, Jennings vs Spillka, Perez vs Mago etc.
The 2 yr prime Tyson would beat the C and most likely B modern HWs. He'd struggle or lose to A- and better current HWs. He struggled w/movers 20+ yrs ago much less powerful than today's top HWs. If Buster f'n Douglas could beat a prime Tyson, and beefed up (roided up) CW Holy could beat a still dangerous MT, do you seriously believe he'd beat modern top HWs? atsch :-( LL is a few months older than MT and he beat him :!: like a rented mule, wasn't even competitive... I know, that was past MTs prime  The only part of your post I agree with is that the top contenders should fight each other a bit more often. However that doesn't mean that the HWs from "days gone by" could be competitive in this era.
