Peter was never more than 50% of himself.

At 25 he had worse stamina than an obese , 40 year old James Toney.

was shocked to see this is a real fight even more so shocked Briggs has a fight tomorrow. I thought his butt still hurt from what i had seen.

Sam Peter is e real easy letdown, 4 pullouts in 4 scheduled fights. IF he keeps his word i like this one.

Was there any official word on why he pulled out on all those fights?

I think he was meant to fight in that recent heavyweight tournament in NZ that Kali Meehan won too.

Why is Australia/NZ the garbage dump of boxing? It seems like any HW that "can't get a fight" can always find one down there.

Australia has a lot of garbage fights for 2 reasons
    1. Almost no proper boxing scene here so very little pro boxers esp H/W.
    2. Aussie public is very ignorant about boxing so easy to con people into thinking a shot fighter like Peter is a big deal.
A great example is Mundine and Green. Despite ther limitations both were massive draws. Alsoboth made a career out of fighting name fighters way bast there best (eg Mosley, Roy Jones, Tarver).
Alex Leapai got massive publicity leading into the Klit. fight and a lot of locals actually gave him a chance.

    Have to say this.

Leapai gets knocked out faster from an in condition Peter than he did against Wlad.

    Can they?

Perhaps you can supply a list of all these "garbage" overseas heavyweights that have come to Australia recently :think

    Over to you....

There is some hard truth in your post although we have punched above our weight for quite a long time and no doubt will do so again.

I don't like this fight and it seems that Peter has a run of pull outs so hopefully it doesn't happen. Leapai should fight Briggs to deal with his smack win or lose or a top 10 contender.

    People overrate Leapai.

He is basically a fat cab driver who has NONE boxing skills and speed.
THe only good thing about him as a boxer is that he can hit.

Totally shot Colin Wilson (who lost in his prime every round to 46 y.o. Joe Bugner) outboxed Leapai in 1st fight.

Featherfisted Kevin Johnson schooled and knocked out Leapai.

Wlad chose not to KO Leapai in 1 as he could.

Leapai beat no one except Boycov (who is overrated like hell).

Alex Leapai is like Toughman competitor, not a ranked HW boxer. You won't find any champion or beltholder in history who would've had trouble with Leapai.

Leapai is by far the worst Wlad's challenger. Charles Shufford, Ray Austin, 2008 Rahman and old Mormeck were better.
