Pavlik had so much heart and a great chin. He never struggled with a come forward, aggressive fighter in his career.

GGG would be one of the most skilled come forward technicians Pavlik ever faced. I'm not so sure what would happen in this explosive match-up. Both fighters would land their share.

I give the Pavlik before the Hopkins fight a very good chance of beating this version of GGG,,... Pavlik has never been the same since then actually,,..

It would be all over as soon as Golovkin landed the bomb.

But in all seriousness, Pavlik was a beast in his prime, before he became too friendly with the booze and bulked up too much. A fight between him and Golovkin certainly would've been one I would've paid money to see.

My prediction is PAIN , Pavlik gets beaten here and it won't be pretty viewing for all the Americans that wildly overrate him

none of those guys have Golovkins timing, power or punch placement and footwork....

and the seizure disorder is more likely related to stress and contributed to by yrs and yrs of alcohol and prescription narcotic abuse.

Kelly's chin and alcoholic pride would be his achilles heel in this fight. Rather than fighting behind his excellent jab, he'd get clocked once and try to slug it out, ending in him being incapacitated on the canvas.

    GGG KO4-6

I think the kd on pavlik from Taylor is significant in this. Gennady is obviously a bigger puncher, but is Gennady a better boxer than Taylor? Jermaine a was looking very good for a stretch.

Honestly, this fight could go either way.

GGG the superior tactician, but Pavlik with a significant size and reach advantage.

GGG doesn't have the movement to trouble Pavlik, but does have the power to do so.

Nobody ever beat Pavlik by brawling with him, so GGG would have to fight wisely.

    Toss up to me, really.

A lot of speculation however, Pavlik was far more tested than GGG at this point. In terms of opposition but also in terms of dealing with what each strengths, which comes down to who can take their punch better.

I favor Pavlik in this match up, based on what we have seen from GGG. Its not that we have seen GGG hurt or anything, but thats the thing, we haven't seen much at this point, really, other than he has some power and can beat up smaller guys who are over matched.
