    I couldn't believe how bad martinez looked against cotto. Time to have a farewell fight and retire.


    If macklin, chavez, williams or pavlik gotten to fight this version of martinez they would have done the same thing cotto did.

    Cotto deserves credit for executing an excellent game plan and fighting effectively. He deserves no credit for beating an old, washed up Martinez.

    i knew, and said so. sergio could not move his head out of the way of murrays telegraphed straight punches, his reflexes were gone. even with healthy knees, he would lose to the top middleweights because his reaction time has slowed too much to compete at highest levels.

    I actually took your advice, and unlike you I actually posted the links for everyone to see and judge for themselves. I suggest opening each fight in a different tab and setting them up when they're in their corners just before first bell like I did. Then watch only the first minute and a half or so of each fight, definitely before Cotto rocks him with that hook, and you all will see that the only difference in movement is the responding to fighting a different opponent. There is no place you can point and say there is clear difference in movement due to him not being injured the Chavez fight and him being injured in the Cotto fight. And I really tried to recognize a difference, and could see none.
