Had that fight been in the UK, the ref would have prevented Porter's bull**** game plan which consisted of running forward, hooks to the arm or the back of the head and then rolling in forehead into Kell's face. Brook normally does not hold that much. Porter fights sloppy and hits behind the head A LOT. Brook was holding a lot in the first half but around the 9th round Porter was holding as much as Brook. Brook showed he can adapt. The fight was Ugly but I think it was Porters fault more than Brook How do you fight porter on the inside he uses his forearms and hit behind the head so much you have to hold. Watch Porter verses Paulie M Porter pushed against the ropes pushed his head back with one forearm and pounded him with other hand. Very dirty fighter I'm glad he lost. Brook vs Thurman would be much better fight.
The announcers were brutal, only commented on shots that brook landed and was horribly obvious they want a Brook vs. Khan fight. Porter was coming forward putting Brook on the defense, anyone can hold on the inside, smothering shots and holding are 2 different things. Golden Boy stands to make more off of khan in England vs. Brook, than a free agent Shawn Porter that can fight on the network/promoter of his choice.
