It goes without saying that Porter is no Willie pep but the lack of quality for 12 rounds was just unbelievable.

He barely threw a jab the entire fight. I tried to be subjective through the 12 rounds but struggled to give him more than 3 rounds and Kell really only did ok in there, basic 1 - 2's.

I have seen some wild swinging before (Hatton vs Pacquioa) but this is amongst the worst I have seen of a champion who was said to be the next big thing.

    peace.

I mean the Mallagnaggi win did more harm to the kid. He became overconfident of his

ability the wild clubbing style he fell in love with it. But a really good boxer can pick it

    apart.

Porter won the belt with that style and defended twice with that style of fighting sucessfully.

Brook was just stronger and able to deal with it better.

Porter looked good I thought in the beggining ,he just gassed, and once brook wasnt too hurt after his onslaught, he was able to squek out a few jabs and one twos while he was tired

You might want to give Brook credit for making him look bad by using the right movement/positioning. Jabs you say?, throwing jabs isn't exactly easy against a fighter taller than you who's known for throwing right hands. Brook would've had a field day with free right hand shots if Porter kept throwing jabs.

It's not easy to find a "really good boxer" that can handle aggression. Rather than shitting on Porter, people might want to give Brook more credit for handling it.

No. Brook just made him look bad. This is the same porter who beat Alexander and wrecked malignaggi.

Brook performed brilliantly, give him some credit.

I have to admit I though Porter was going to stop Brook, but I’m not even mad. Brook fought the perfect fight, he wasn’t hot headed, he didn’t let porter overpower him, it was just perfect. I was particularly impressed with his accuracy, he catched Porter clean in some rounds more than Porter catched him in the entire fight. I was also impressed by the fact that Porter catched Brook clean less tahn 10 times in the entire fight, he has pretty good evasive movement.

Still, props to Porter, this was a very competitive fight, Porter did his best, nothing to be ashamed of. I would like to see Brook fight Thurman next, or maybe Khan, I think he beats Khan but Thurman is another story.

By the way, I want to give an honorable mention to Gabriel Rosado, TKOed Vera on BKB tonight. I was very impressed by this, Chavez Jr. Was not able to knock down very even with his size advantage and decent power, but Rosado knocked him down twice and the fight was stopped, and we are talking about a fight that was 7 rounds of 2 minutes each. I was very impressed.

Yeah, I have to agree. I thought Porter had more skills than that. I was surprised at the total wildness of his attack. Expected more from him. Told one of my gambling buddies to bet on him too. Sure I'll be hearing about that

Ridiculous hyperbole. Porter is a fine boxer. You win some, you lose some. Such is life.

He is all that, Brook only proved to be better. How's that for a reality check?

If one of Porters wild swings took Brook out of there, same opinion? Doubt it.

I was very disappointed with porter his head movement was ok but his jab was nonexistent and what the hell was he doing flailing away like an amateur when inside . No real clean punches if you doubt me watch it again his flailing wide punches were frankly embarrassing given his status as a world champion .
