A lot of posters here have their own personal agenda against Khan. Their dislike for him overshadows any logic that may be brought forth to them.

Kell Brook looked like a decent fighter, but he's not beating Khan. Khan is too fast, his movement and power can easily beat Brook. The only thing Khan will have to keep in mind is that right hand, I have to give it to Brook there. But it's far from a difficult fight for Khan.

If Khan fights Brook, Khan is not going to be running in trying to pressure Brook like Shawn Porter did - that's not his style. He'll box circles around Brook. Khan's jab is faster than Kell's too so he's likely to get off first as well. Khan also feels more comfortable at 147. He was 161 lbs against Luis Collazo whereas Kell Brook weighed in at 156 lbs yesterday against porter.

Khan's kryptonite can be the left hand and inside rough fighting (which Roberto Guerrero can do). Brook has neither so again it's a good sign for Khan there too.

Lost to Kotelnik, lost to Alexander (who lost to Porter who lost to Brook), his best win was against an overrated Broner fighting at his wrong weight.

Brook would knock Maidana out without drawing breath.

Khan won't fight him. Khan wanted the easiest route possible to a big payday against Mayweather and refused to fight Alexander incase he lost his lottery ticket to Mayweather and by not fighting Alexander, he probably did anyway. Khan wants big paydays before retiring, i don't think he'll fight well into his 30's, no chance. His waiting game for the Mayweather fight shows his lack of confidence in his ability. If you feel Alexander is a huge risk to ruining your chance at Mayweather, you probably don't deserve the Mayweather fight anyway.

Khan vs Brook is a big payday for Khan but he knows if he loses, his stock in the UK will be next to nothing and that's one of the only selling points he has to become a Mayweather opponent. Although i think the Mayweather team have realised that Khan is not as popular in the UK as they thought.

A loss to Brook would be a disaster for Khan on many levels so i think he would rather have an easier route and try to get the Mayweather fight. I really like Ricky Hatton but i believe one of the reasons he never fought Witter when he was also a champion was the fact Hatton had a lot of public support and losing to another british fighter would mean his stock would go right down. I believe Hatton would have won it anyway, but maybe they felt it's not worth the risk. Same situation here with Khan. It's better to make the money and lose to a superstar like Mayweather which there's no shame in, and if you managed to win you become a superstar. If you lose to Brook when you're as famous as Khan, it'll probably be the end.

As it stands right now, Khan is not a main player in the WW division and Kell Brook is a world champion. So Khan should get in line if he wants it...which he doesn't. Not because he's afraid to be in the ring and fight, simply because of he's afraid of it ruining his career..

 

Nonsense. The offer was serious enough to be fully linked with comments on a website, unlike Khan's offers and call-outs which remain trademarked on his twitter webpage and stay there. Khan wasn't exactly shining at the time compared to Brook, he was inactive for over a year hoping for a free payday against Mayweather and was looking to start negotiating with Collazo. He picked Collazo instead fully expecting a payday against Mayweather to follow. Obviously he didn't get it so now he's the one pretending(on twitter) to act like he badly wants Brook when in reality his team are in negotiations with Lopez and Guerrero.

You can call me biased all you want but this is what happened.

 

Khan had a valid point, he'd been taking on some of the top guys over in America and while Brook was across the pond undefeated he hadn't been fighting guys to the level of Khan's opponents.

But now that all changes with the win over Porter on US soil. Brook is now the man, and the fact that he's undefeated and a WW champ has to put him ahead of Khan. That's just how it works. Now Khan's in Brook's queue lol.

Man I just really respect Brook the way he done the business last night. There was a lot of clinching, but he kept his cool and kept his wits about him all night. Brook's jab caused so much damage, and when he saw and opening he threw that right hand, and one time threw two consecutive one-two's.

Brook reminds me of a more orthodox version of Prince Naseem. From his accent, the way he talks (he sounds just like Naz) and the way he counters reminds me of Naz. Not to the extent of Naz, obviously with the crazy punches, but just in terms of ring psychology. Really happy for Brook and very exciting to see where this guy goes from here. Not sure if Porter will get a rematch. He'd probably have to go to England. I think it's good for the sport to have an English world champion.

 

Khan should get in line. Brook is the champ now.

 

I wouldn't say Khan isn't a main player in the WW division. I think he is a main player, it's just that he's not champ and it's a stacked division. The thing about Khan is that despite his faults I think he has the tools to actually beat Mayweather. The reason why I say that is that he has the ability to throw a lot of combos and out work the older Mayweather. Judges are very keen to give close rounds to Mayweather and to beat him you really have to significantly outland Mayweather. Khan can do that, but he can also get knocked out, so that's a fight that would be very entertaining.

 

This fight will happen if Khan is serious and isn't talking crap he will never back up on twitter. The money, attention and general interest this fight will generate will be huge for Brook and his team to pass on if a real offer is made from Khan's team. Khan is only talking smack while his team are almost done making a fight with either Guerrero or Lopez. He knows that Brook just finished a fight and will need a month or two of break before negotiating and hitting the gym again.

lol@ brook thinking he is some kind of big shot teling khan to get in line... khan was never after you. Brook is the one whose career revolves around khan... khan can go ahead fight guerrero and secure a fight with mayweather next may... sounds good to me! Brook doens't even have a fan base in the US whil Amir Khan does.... Brook won't fight outside UK ever again now so his future options are limited in my opinon.
