Khan is definitely a main player in the division whether we like it or not. He's a big name that will guarantee interest and attention whoever he fights. That's more than enough in today's standards. In addition to that, he has the style and speed to give anyone trouble even if he loses.

Two losses, you have to be beyond ignorant and hateful to consider the Peterson robbery an actual loss.

Khan is after world titles. That's why he never went after Brook. Now Brook is a world titlest and Khan isn't. Therefore, naturally now Brook is on Khan's radar. Before last night he wasn't.

All this time I can see where Brook is coming from. All those years Khan basically acted like Brook wasn't a real opponent because he didn't fight in America and didn't have a title. Khan did get KTFO twice while Brook is undefeated. Brook fought a guy last night that could have knocked out him, a guy that could have knocked out Khan. Khan Guerrero is a boring meaningless fight. Guerrero is a joke ever since he got arrested bringing a gun onto a plane and then fought a horribly boring and lackluster fight vs Maywaether. Guerrero vs Khan is a fight that Khan should easily win. Pretty much anyone in the WW division would mop the floor with Guerrero. The idea that Khan beating Guerrero would set up a Maywaether fight for Khan is absurd.

Don't get me wrong, I am an Amir Khan fan but come on, Guerrero? the guy has nothing left. I want to see Khan Mayweather but lets be real, Khan is basically just waiting and hoping that Mayweather will choose Khan as a future opponent. In the meantime, Khan has absolutely no bargaining power. He doesn't have a major title, he hasn't looked particularly good in his WW fights (Julio Diaz gave him all kinds of problems, as he did to Porter) Khan did look better vs Collazo, but Collazo is not really a top WW at this point.

I think it's very possible Brook fights in America again, but now that he has the world title he doesn't need to. You can't cricitize him for not fighting in America after what he did last night. But hey lets just sit back and see how it plays out.

I agree, I thought Khan clearly did enough to beat Peterson. Khan's a tough guy to win a decision against because he's so accurate and busy. And you know I think that "loss" to Peterson carried over to being knocked out by Danny Garcia.

After losing that decision, he went into the Garcia fight trying to excessively outland Danny, and it caused him to be knocked out. I personally believe (and this is just my opinion, feel free to disagree) that if he had gotten the nod over Peterson, he would have been much more confident heading into the Garcia fight and probably wouldn't have been knocked out. Heck, he'd still probably be with Freddie Roach. What Khan did to Peterson was impressive, he outboxed him and deserved to win imho. That decision loss messed with Khan's psyche and I think he was too overaggressive vs Garcia.

a lot of things I don't agree with you above.

yes khan is after world titles but he DOESN'T need the one Brook has - it's an option. I don't know how you can say you can see where Brook was coming from and then side with Brook. He fought NO ONE. He has 32 tomato cans on his record, I give him major props for stepping up and taking out Shawn Porter but other than that he has NO ONE on his resume. So how can you criticize Amir Khan for not giving him a chance considering Khan did step it up, trained in the US, fought in the US consistenyl and fought world class opposition whereas Brook didn't? Khan always said IF Brook steps it up and wins the fight can happens hence he is okay with taking the fight now. I didn't know it was too much to ask for to beat someone in the Top 10. Look at Senchenko before he got exposed by Paulie he was in the same boat as Brook. He fought no body and had a padded record fighting at home, if he called out Mayweather would you say you see where Senchenko is coming from? That makes no sense.

Whether you like it or not, Guerrero IS a fight that will propel Khan to the Mayweather fight. I'm not saying you're wrong or right I'm just telling you what it is. Guerrero's only loss is that to Mayweather. Khan has a fan base in UK and is well established in the US too. So financially and from a marketing point of view the fight with Mayweather is feasible. He only needs one more solid win and he will get the Mayweather fight whether we think it's fair or not.

As for Brook fighting in US. I'm 100% sure it will not happen in the future, unless he fought a big name like Pacman. Brook is going to get all the fights in UK, there is no way he is going to agree to fight in the US again.

Actually Guerrero has two losses, one was a split decision loss to Gamaliel Diaz in 2005. He also has two no-contests and a technical draw in 2004 for hitting on the break.

There's nothing wrong with Brook fighting in the UK, especially now that he has fought in the US and won a title on foreign soil. He's earned that comfort with the win last night. Many criticize Mayweather for having all his fights in Vegas. Brook now has a world title and if he fights all his fights in the UK, so what? If they are good fights then they are good fights.

And I'm not crictizing Khan for not fighting Brook, I said he had a valid point. Khan was fighting top competition in America, and Brook wasn't. No doubt about that. However, lets not forget that Khan was KTFO by Breidis Prescott in the UK before ever stepping foot in America. So it's not like Khan was able to stay undefeated in the UK like Brook. There's something to be said about Brook staying undefeated. Do you consider Khan's UK opponents like Prescott tomato cans?

I am an Amir Khan fan, I'm just saying I can understand where Brook is coming from, having Khan all these years act like Brook is second fiddle to him while Brook is undefeated. You have to weigh everything. Your example of Senchenko calling out Mayweather to make your point is laughable. Lets be real, Khan probably would have gotten the fight vs Floyd had Maidana not demolished Broner. Broner was Floyd's "little bro" and seeing Broner get beat up raised Floyd's eyebrows and that's why he decided to fight Maidana.

Khan after world titles but limited his options to guerrero, lopez and alexander? You notice in the prefight he never mentioned wanting to fight porter if porter won
