And how do you know it was an official offer? How is it any different from Khan calling people out on Twitter etc?
You are right about Guerrero but I meant his only loss in teh welterweight division. But this fight will get Khan the Mayweather fight because of his fan following, popularity and marketability. So he does not need Brook but if Brook wants to step up to the plate then he'll take it. If not no problem, he's got bigger fish to fry. at the bold - that's exactly my point. It makes no sense. Similarly Brook fighting a bunch of bums in the UK and calling out Khan without proving himself on the world level was laughable. Khan may not be undefeated but he has the popularity and is a draw both in the UK and US. There was no difference between Senchenko and Brook when Senchenko was undefeated. I found it funny when Brook was saying Khan had it the easy way . Have you seen your own record mate? Fought bunch of bums and think you're ready for pacman. Yea! that's the hard way. Prescott was a solid fighter at the time. A dangerous udefeated big puncher. He gave Mike Alvarado a hell of a fight soon after. He is irrelavant now but was definitely not in the bum category before. What was Kell's most difficult fight? Carson who? The main issue is the love for 0. People simply love undefeated fighters irregardless of who they fight. Add the dislike of Khan to the mix and you have Kell Brook fans.
Because it was authorized and openly publicized by respectable sites. Khan later turned down that offer and it was publicized too. If that offer was imaginary I assure you Khan would have been vocal enough for the likes of you to know about it.
Suprised you are so confident picking Khan, Brook doesn't have the height and reach disadvantage that Maidana, Kotelnik, Malignaggi and Judah faced. Kell has good timing which should help with Khans speed, not sure who wins but wouldn't be confident picking either.
yeah surely kell is as bigger than khan? its a tough one to call, khan could improve even more by his next fight too there was a big difference between the khan that fought diaz and collazo
Why do British fans do this. Brook has had one good win, one that's it, he's not now some big shot p4p fighter who can tell everyone to get in line to fight him, he'll be put back in his box when he realizes the likes of JMM, Thurman, Garcia decide not to fight him. Be realistic Khan is by a mile Brooks best option, Brook is number 5 at WW not p4p level, last night was a close fight he beat Porter but the likes of Bradley, JMM, Thurman would all be favorite to beat him. Brook could well loose his title to many guys at 147 he needs to shut up an realize Khan has still achieved far more then he has and he needs Khan.
People do realize Brook is not the 2nd coming of Mayweather right, i mean Shawn Porter drew with Julio Diaz it's a win over a world class fighter nothing more.
The same Julio Diaz knocked down Amir Khan and gave Khan all sorts of problems. Khan has achieved more than Brook, but not by a lot now that Brook won a World Title. Brook has achieved what has been alluding him in the Khan - Brook comparison to make it debatable. Khan has had more big fights, but Brook is still undefeated. Both guys have a valid argument. As far as your comment about Bradley, JMM, and Thurman being favored vs Brook, Porter has more power than Bradley or JMM at welter. I'm not sure why they would favor Bradley to beat Brook when most people didn't even think he beat Pacquiao the first time. JMM was completely outboxed by Mayweather and it is likely that Brook could do similar things to JMM. Thurman vs Brook would be a great fight, but it would be interesting to see if Thurman would go to the UK now that Brook is champ.
I'm not overly impressed by Brook, I don't see anything special that he does andin my opinion Khan's weakness is the left hand as well as fighting on the inside, neither of which Kell is known for. For that reason I believe Khan would win UD over Brook. The only worry for Khan would be Brook's right hand. having said that, it's a good fight and needs to happen now.
Its hard to gauge khan though becuase of how drastically he changed, khan against collazo is different to khan diaz, he may loook even more different in his next fight
very true... and that's why when people bring up khan diaz it's pointless... that's a different khan caught between 2 styles boxing diaz.... the performance against collazo was more disciplined... and i expect things to get better for khan....
That's why Khan's fights are exciting though. He can show amazing improvements one fight and you think it's all uphill and things can only get better, then it can all come crashing down in a split second. He looked like a world beater under Roach, beating Maidana and Judah until he ran into Garcia. He will look great under Hunter but he will run into someone who will flatten him again. Khan will no doubt have a few more very good wins and devastating defeats before he retires, it's just the way he is and it makes a lot of his fights unmissable. You literally have no idea if he's gonna win until the final bell because he can be hurt at any time. Khan will probably get in the ring with anybody, that's why i was a bit surprised and lost a bit of respect for him for avoiding an Alexander fight incase it messed up a potential Mayweather pay day. Before that i would have said he'll fight anyone at any time. That situation was badly judged i feel, by him and his team and very similar to the way Bradley avoided him at 140 and admitted it.
