Mandatory Defense Obligation Each Champion so recognized by the IBF/USBA in his respective weightclass from Mini Flyweight to Cruiserweight shall mandatorily This content is protected by him in a contest scheduled for twelve (12) rounds against a leading available contender as designated by the Championships Chairman. Soliman acquisition of IBF title belt - This content is protected Mandatory defence due - This content is protected
Sometimes exemptions can be made for unification bouts. So Soliman may still fight Golovkin if the IBF can make more money(which they would)off a Soliman-Golovkin fight rather than Soliman-Stevens/N'Jikam fight. They did it in 2005 when Soliman beat Joval to become the mandatory for the Hopkins-Taylor winner(Im pretty sure).
That's correct however it has to be lodged with the IBF prior to the mandatory bout being lodged and also pending approved. I highly doubt Soliman will fight GGG at all. Its just a massive Gee-Up. He cant draw interest with his own name so he is using GGGs name.
I highly doubt you know anything but hate for Sam Soliman. The funny part is the guy has a world title and is making great money and nothing you can say will change that
Maybe true but he is hardly the first to do that. I don't see why you are making such a big deal about it. Smart work by team Soliman I guess history will tell wether he fights GGG but you can't say for sure yet. He is making money and has certainly showed little fear in the past without checking boxrec I think only 4 of his losses have been at MW his preferred division. I can understand a person not being a fan of his style or even disliking him for other reasons but his courage can not be questioned. And even if he does duck GGG he's hardly on his own in that department. It's only early days yet but GGG looks like becoming a special fighter.
Well 4 of his losses have been at 168 3x Mundine 1 to Bika and 3 of his losses at MW that I can remember Winky,Joval and Eastman(very good fighters)and I remember reading of his 11 losses only 4 have been at MW. Which he hasn't lost a fight at for years and he's always been the away fighter(Im pretty sure). He's not my favourite fighter to watch but you have to respect him.
Not my favourite by far, a technical nightmare but will fight anyone, if he still has the title in a couple of defences I think he will finish up fighting ggg, for a fighter to get to the level he has achieved with such a lack of power is extraordinary, deserves his respect, it's been earnt
