You best do that because he's totally right - any promoter can get involved in any purse bid.

Just what boxing needs a former crack dealing, knife wielding ******* who considers his artists an extension of himself, certainly he'll have the best interest of his fighters at heart if he fully commits to the business.:patsch

All promoters are scumbags so who cares. If he makes good fights happen then I hope he has a long successful future in boxing.

Quillen v Korobov is definitely a good start imo

Jay-Z could prove to be the biggest scumbag of them all, Don King level, I've never liked him, all he cares about is making money, which isn't a bad thing, but he's not a good guy, 50cent as flawed as he is at least genuinely loves the sport.
I'm not sure why the media has always given him such a pass, he's also overrated as a rapper.

A purse bid is an initial step in arranging a professional boxing match, involving the fight's/card's promoter(s). All interested registered promoters may bid on the amount of the purse (the total money that the fighters will be paid for the match), if the sides representing each fighter fail to agree on it before the deadline. The highest offer wins; however, the winning entity must produce a small percentage of the total amount up-front by a certain date. How the fighters will split the purse is negotiated between the fighters' respective representatives. Purse bids are often won by one of the two fighters' promoters.

This is interesting because what network is taking the fight ,i can see Jay Z losing money here unless he's doing just for the sake of it. Its almost like he's gambling money.

Would Peter Quillin get followed around by security if he went shopping at Barney's?:think
I bet none of the media ask Jay-Z about his 5 percenter medallion either:lol:

Those guys aren't worth that much. Top Rank had it right with half a mil. I'd give 300k to Quillin and 200k to Korobov.
