Jones makes everybody on that list look ordinary in his prime.

Froch has the best resume. He fights everyone.

But Toney was the most talented SMW.

Cheers. Reading all that actually gets my blood boiling a little. It reminds me how much I genuinely despised him back then. What a revolting little **** of a man he is. As you say, it's strange he turned out like that coming from Ingle's gym. Ingle's mentoring must of gone in one jug ear and straight out the other. He's the antithesis of the kind of individual Ingle was trying to shape the kids who walked through the doors of his gym into. He's one of the most self-centred, vain and egotistical little pricks I've ever laid eyes upon.

Another thing he did that really annoyed me was when he completely ignored Ingle in the corner. I think it must've been when things started going sour between them. Ingle was giving him instructions and he just sat there refusing to make eye contact and just being incredibly arrogant and disrespectful.

I hated the way he treat his opponents too. He was a bully who thrived off humiliating people, both in and out of the ring, and he did it in a very arrogant and disrespectful 'I really wanna to smash your teeth in'' kind of way. I don't mind a bit of smack talk and theatrics, but I take exception with trying to humiliate others in such a spiteful and cruel way. That's why I loved it so much when Barrera locked his arms up and rammed his stupid face into the ring post. The ''Who's your daddy'' line was just the icing on the cake. lol

It really was disgusting. He tried to make out he was the victim in all of that ****. I'd like to see that Ingle interview again. He hit the nail right on the head.

    Naz. lol

I wish Eubank had cracked him with a right hand like the one hit Reginaldo Dos Santos with. lol

Yeah, I have seen that before thanks. I can't remember too much about it to be honest, but I seem to recall thinking to myself that he'd mellowed a little with age and wasn't quite as insufferable as he was in his younger years, or that's the image of himself he was trying to portray if not that.

Not sure if I buy what he's saying about the weight making problems for the Barrera fight or not though. Maybe it's true, but seeing as he's such a horrible little ****, I'm happy not to give him the benefit of the doubt. lol. :good

Where is all this Carl Froch talk coming from?

Ward resume > Froch resume; and they are widely regarded as not on the level of Calzaghe's resume, so why even bring them up?

I don't know why you waste your time on him. Are you a Christian? Perhaps you've take pity upon on him and are trying to steer him in the right direction before he does himself a mischief? If that's the case, you're a better man than I am. lol.

I did take pity, but maybe my kindness has worked against me as he seems to be a bit obsessed, and the signs are worrying. I should have taken advice and steered well away from such an odd character. Best I start doing so from here on in

It's funny when people discuss Calzaghe's reign and his supposed **** defenses, amazingly nobody seems to mention many of Hopkins MW title defenses like, Steve Frank, Joe Lipsey, Robert Allen 3 times, Andrew Council, Antwun Echols twice. Double standards from people they slate Calzaghe and yet give Bhop a pass, i'd say Calzaghe's SMW reign is no worse then Hopkins MW one, because even the ODLH win doesn't mean much seen as Oscar was never a MW and got a gift to beat Sturm.

    I can agree with this...

Calzaghe's 168 reign and Hopkins' 160 reign are actually quite comparable. The difference is that Hopkins does have a few big time names in Trinidad, Oscar, and Glen Johnson (yes, Tito and Oscar were moving up in weight, I know).

True he has bigger names but if you break it down, Are those 3 wins any better then Kessler, Eubank and Lacey?

All on all, I'll say Ward, he clean the division on the super 6 and beat Dawson easily...so...

Jones resume had holes regarding his top contemporaries ....the likes of Nunn, Barkley , Benn, Mclellan...lost to Tarver and Glenngoffe Johnson...both solid punchers ....like the ones he didn't fight...plus he never a lineal champ!
