Ruslan beat that ass. Ref robbed him of a draw on cards but I think the ref robbed him of a ko. How many times you seen a fighter get dropped, get up, and fall back down in a dizzy stumble and not get the fight waved off? Red failed to call the kd so couldn't call the ko. Shoulda been stopped in 12th when brads took a knee in closing seconds. That's waving the white flag u ask me. Brads felt results of that fight for months. He shouldn't have taken that much punishment. There were at least 3-4 times in that fight brads eyes rolled back and he was obviously out on his feet on autopilot. The guys tough as fukkin nails and he's lucky he's not brain damaged from that fight. I feel that he and Algieri both got more credit for surviving ruslan than ruslan got for beating their asses.
Agreed . And I felt Ruslan didn't lose either fight . Algieri tough as hell , but he didn't do enough to overcome those 2 knockdowns .
It was the fight of the year back then. The judges chose a winner. Both guys were winners and the world of boxing fans rewarded both of them for that war. Both camps won nutthuggers and fans.
He showed immense heart though . That night he won the whole boxing world respect including mine . If anyone chooses not to respect TB after that war , then you are not a true boxing fan .
Yes he showed heart but that's what I'm talkin about...we heard more about tim Bradley's heart than we did about the horrendous beating ruslan dished out to him.
